Hello, I came here as a dependent but on an open work permit. I have 2 years time. My husband will have to leave in 2 months time, do I also have to leave along with him or I can stay as long as my open work permit is valid?
I have a good job here and dont want to go. I will process my PR also.

I still don't understand how IRCC issue dependent 2 years open work permit, while the primary has only 2 months left on their visa.

No Primary has the same validity as dependent, but as primary has closed WP he may has to go back. In that case can secondary stay ?

That is my question about, most of countries only give the dependent whatever the length of visa to match the expire date of the primary's visa or permit. My colleague has the same case while his wife has closed work permit and he got open work permit after and it expires on the same day as his wife's permit.

You may need to call IRCC and confirm that, it could be a mistake made by them.
