Open work permit

Hi, good day everyone. I have a question, i already got my open work permit. My employer doesn't need me much and she's happy for me to work anywhere. Is it okay to leave the country for a vacation in the philippines or do i need to still be under the LIC program? Thank you.

Hi there. it is better to have work before you go home. you might have problem going back to Canada even if you have an open permit because they will ask you to provide a letter of employment stating that you have a work in Canada. otherwise they won't let you go back.
