I need to know my husband is a student in montreal and i wanted to apply for an open work permit how to apply it from quebec canada as we both are in canada, At present i am on visitors visa.Also how to get CAQ of Quebec for myself.

You can only apply for a work permit from inside Canada if:

you have a valid study or work permit, or your spouse or parents have a study or work permit;
you are a postgraduate from a program at a Canadian university, community college, CÉGEP or publicly funded trade/technical school (or other eligible school or institution);
you have a temporary resident permit that is valid for six months or more; and
you are in Canada because you have already applied for permanent residence from inside Canada. You will have to pass certain stages in the main application process before you can be eligible for a work permit.

If you meet the requirements above you may apply from in Canada for an open work permit.

is it possible to submit TRV extension (I am in Canada with a PGWP) and an initial spousal open work permit made outside Canada in one online application?

should i include schedule 1 form in my application so that i can get TRV in addition to your work permit when approve?

My spouse qualifies for open work permit ( I am a skilled worker NOC "O"), but I am not sure if TRV will be easier to obtain outside Canada so that when she arrives here in Canada, we can apply for the open work permit; what are your thoughts?

You appear to have asked your same questions about your spouse and a TRV work permit on some other occasions and had advice from a number of people.

I wonder if you have taken the advice suggested by others. The only way you will know which works best for your wife is to submit one or the other application along with all the pertinent documents.

It isn't possible for me to say if schedule 1 be completed since I don't know the exact circumstances of what needs or doesn't need to be declared by you or your wife.

If there are no unusual circumstances in you or your spouse's case it is likely that the application you choose to submit will work out as you hope since there is a desire to have families together if one has been granted a work permit as you indicate is the case for you. That is why the option to include family is available on the applications.

I have one small query regarding Spouse open work permit application submission through online way.

My wife has also got the visitor visa and she is coming with me to Canada .After arriving there, i am planning to apply open work permit for my wife.For this purpose, what is the list of documents we have to upload for the open work permit application submission

From Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) official page, i came to know that the following 4 docs need to upload while applying for open work permit in canada

2.Spouse r passport
3.Merriage certificate
4.Spouse r digital pic

But my concern is, from some other sites and sources i came to know that with the above four docs, we have to submit my study permit paper, letter from university and also financial bank statements which will show we have 10000+ 4000 CAD. But these papers has already been shown by us while we have applied for the visitor visa application.And also in online application site, there is no option to upload this papers.

It will be helpful for me if you help me with any concrete information regarding the above issue as it will help me to take preparayion in advance.

I have the same situation and similar doubts as you. I am applying OWP for my wife, who has a visitor VISA now.
From the CIC website, the checklist is quite simple.
My question is, without providing any information of myself, like study permit, enrolment certificate , how can my wife be issued an OWP that has same duration as my study permit.

I`m Pallavi from India. Our nationality is Indian. My husband is working in Canada as NOC C. He will be applying soon for his wok permit for NOC B level job, bcoz an LMO for this job has been approved. I have applied temporary visitors visa in India and it has got rejected. Hence I need some information regarding my open work permit. My husband will be applying online for both work permits (his work permit and mine open work permit) from Canada only. I will be submitting "Use of family member representative" i.e IMM5713. We need to upload the documents mentioned below.

M having some doubts while filing IMM1295- Application of work permit from outside Canada

1. As my husband wil be the representative, what should I write in Current Mailing address and residential mailing address. Should I give My husbands address as current mailing address. and residential as mine in India?

2. Details of prospective employer
a. Name of Employer
b. Complete Address of Employer
3. Intended location of employment in Canada
4. Job title and description of duties


Please guide me in this regard.
