Open work permit/Visitor Visa/Dependent Visa

Hello guys,

I am from India. I have a question that my wife doing her PG Diploma of 1 year in a college of Canada. Her intake started from Sep 2015. Firstly we decided to go together for visa application. But Agent told us for applying student visa for my wife first and then i can apply. But now i am confuse, I am not getting single positive response from agents and web site. I love my wife a lot. This is not possible for me to live without her. now I want to accompany her in Canada till her study . Please suggest me, which kind of visa shall i apply? Visitor visa/open work visa/Dependent visa?. how much success rate here? what is the way to apply. also suggest me about relative documents.

I am the same you situation, my wife got study permit and then I and my kids applied visitor visa and got approved.

You can apply OWP or visitor visa (TRV). you can change visitor visa to OWP in Canada.

You visa success rate must depend your travel history, you financial ( money & your employment) and your home ties. You should provide as much as possible document you have: employment contract, pay slip, bank deposit, travel history, real estate, etc..

Thanks for reply...Sorry Sonata95..... its 2015. But some people are saying in forum, i can apply OWP only from my home country....I can't apply while i am in canada.... If i go on Visitor visa, can i extend visa from canada or have to come back in india (home country)?and after that apply.. one thing more if i got visitor visa.. how long i can stay there with my wife? and how to i have apply?

Check the link below: you can change to OWP after you are inside Canada. The key is how you get Canada visa? visitor visa you can stay there up to 6 months and extend another 6 months.
