Open Work Permit "Unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution..."

Hello,

I had a question regarding the stipulation on the bottom of my fiancées Open Work permit. She currently has her PR in process under the live-in caregiver old pathway and wanted to take a PSW course from one of those small learning centers ie Peak College. but on the bottom of her permit it says

"Unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution OR taking any academic, Professional or vocational, training courses."

I read this to mean that she cannot take these courses with out a study permit, but at the Peak College they say its fine. I am confused and don't want to void her permit over something small like this.

I called CIC today regarding a first aid course with a local company, they actually told me I don't need a study permit even I wish to take a real academical or professional course from a DLI, as long as the course is shorter than six months. But you should definitely confirm that yourself.
