looks like mine will get refused - since I applied on 28th July as I lost track of time.

Anybody can provide me an alternate solution so that I can extend my work permit which is expiring on 27th Nov, 2021.
You already got a refusal or you think that tgey will refused you because you applied on 28 july?

Could any of you who received this public policy work permit by mail (physically) confirm if it includes the word PGWP in the document in any way? I'm being asked that to keep receiving insurance in Quebec.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have not received the physical copy yet. I will let u know once I do!

Thats what I think - I might get refused though. Not so sure what to do at the stage.

If IRCC received your application after the policy ended, then there is a very good chance you will be refused.

There's really nothing you can do but wait and see what happens (i.e. if they give you a break by a day or apply the rules exactly).

If you are refused, then you would need to stop working immediately and make plans to leave Canada. If you wish to remain in Canada, then you'll need to apply to restore your status to visitor and then look for an employer who is willing to give you a job offer and go through the LMIA process so that you can get a work permit again.

@scylla - okay unless I submit my PR application and apply bridge work permit extension?

That will work if you still have a valid work permit now and your current work permit is still valid at the time you apply for a BOWP;.

No, it didn't. Just says 'OPEN' under profession since it's an open work permit.

Hi guys, so my work permit got approved.

Applied: 20th July, 2021
Ghost update: 29th September, 2021
Final Decision/Approved: 1st October, 2021.

Congrats! Thank you for the update.
Recently, most approvals have been for those who applied between July 10 and July 20. I'm July 16 and, no news yet.
But still within their processing times (87 days). I'll panic after Nov 10th if I have not received any news then.
