I just got accepted for my girl friend to sponsor me! I got my open work permit for 2 years and now we are waiting for the residency card.

my old sin number expired, do i need to go to an immigration office to get a new sin number or can i call and re activate my old sin number i got when i was a student?

You would have to go in person and apply at the counter to reactivate your old temp SIN. You would still need to come in with all the required documents to get it reactivated.
