Open work permit restrictions

Hi all...
I'm trying to change conditions on open work permit ( working in healthcare services etc...).
Made medicals and called CIC.
The agent told me that i cant apply at the border ( to flagpole ) for a new wp bcz im not from a visa exempt country.

Should be this true ?!

Have you gotten an answer to this? I’m looking to remove restrictions from my wife’s OWP once she passed medical. She’s from USA so she’s from a visa exempt country.

I went to flagpole and changed it. No problem. Didnt pay nothing.
Being Usa make it easier.
Take the medical paper with u.
They need the number to have it easy

Hi again - my wife's medical passed as of yesterday on MyCIC. I read in the forums that we would have to wait 3 weeks for the e-medical to update in the system. How long between the time medical passed and the time you went to the border? Thanks so much. Also, I called the Border Information Service and was told that they do "change of conditions" at the border in Niagara Falls only on Tues, Wed, and Thurs between 8 am to midnight. Is that true, or I can go any day as long as the port of entry/border has immigration service? What day did you go at? Out of curiousity. I was also told that the immigration office at the airport no longer does this. @Thronion Alb @scylla

If "passed medicals" is shown in the system u can go at the border by tomorrow.
U have to wait 3 weeks by the date u make the examinations by the doctor.

At Niagara falls they serve this issues only in certain days. So, go in one of this days that is permited

Awesome! Med passed just one week from the appt. sweet! Which port in Niagara Falls do I go to? There’s like 3 of ‘em. Ya I was told that Tues / Wed & Thurs are the only days to do it.
