Was that flagpoling? Not certain about that procedure though.
, It's a legal procedure in which you go the Can/Us border and then re-enter Canada with all your document. you tell the border officer about flagpoling and that you want to apply for work permit because it refused due to incomplete docs. from your wife.. it is at their approval, they may/may not issue work permit. But you need to take all docs for your spouse, letter of introduction, contract, pay-stubs, her pgwp approval etc.

Noted. Tried to research more about that. Thanks. The only thing is and I find odd is my permit was refused but my husband’s pgwp and kids’ student permit have no final decisions yet.

Which place did you go to? Another question is what did you present as a PGWP Approval since it is still pending for decision. I already applied for reinstatement of my work permit last November 3.

In my case, I got my refusal first and the next day, my spouse's PGWP got approved. So I took her approval, her paystubs, letter of intro. job contract and went to Rainbow Bridge. best of luck!

If your husband got the OWP based on your PGWP it could be cancelled after IRCC realizes it was approved in error.

Hi Guys, i just got into the same situation today. My SOWP extension was refused citing the below

Based on your application and accompanying documentation that you have provided, I have
carefully considered all information and I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations. Your application as requested is
therefore refused.

[X] After considering all the circumstances of your case, it has been determined that you are not
a person whose employment will create or maintain significant employment, benefits or
opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

[X] You have not provided sufficient evidence to prove that your spouse is employed in a highskilled occupation (TEER 0,1,2 or 3) or low-skilled occupation (TEER 4or 5). You may be
eligible to re-apply for a work permit if you are able to provide proof that your spouse is a skilled
worker in Canada, which may include a letter from your spouse’s employer, stating his/her job
title, duties, and salary. If you cannot prove that your spouse is in a skilled occupation, your
application for a work permit cannot be approved without a Labour Market Impact Assessment

from Employment and Social Development Canada

My wife is currently on PGWP and i applied to extend my OWP based on her PWGP. she has a TEER 4 job. I have a valid visitors visa and my questions are

1. Do i still need to apply for restoration of status
2. Can i flagpole to get a new work permit if i take along all neccessary documents to the border

Note:I have immediately stopped working today.

Any advice will really help..

Thanks

Has your original WP already expired or is it still valid?
