Open Work Permit Question

Hi everyone

We applied for my husband's PR and OWP through an in Canada application. We received an email from Immigration on June 5, 2018 confirming receipt of the application. In the body of the email, the confirmation of receipt date is April 30, 2018.

If the processing time for OWP is 3 - 4 months, would this be from the date of the email (June 5) or the date of receipt (April 30)?

Do you know if there is a way to check the OWP status online? I have tried linking my application soooo many times and it just won't show any hits based on the information that I am entering. :/

It is possible to link the OWP application, but all that really confirms is that they aren't sending it back to you. They don't provide any updates on it like they do for the PR app. You won't hear anything till it is approved. They are very consistent with the 4 month processing time, so there's not much to check anyway.

Ah I see. We hit the 3 month mark today so will continue to obsess in front of the mail box. Thanks very much for your help.
