open work permit question combined with spouse

Hello all, this seems to be a very helpful forum, so I will try to get some info here.

I am belgian, my wife is from canada, we married some months ago and are resiing in cananda. Right now we are filling in the paper mess for inland PR and open work permit :)

Right now I only have one question till I am done with filling all that papers (;

Together with my spouse PR request I have to send also the papers for my open work permit:

- I came here (cananda, saskchaewan) in july under a working holiday visa (IEC)
- Right now I am employed with a CROWN company

I am now filling in IMM5708E form, its the application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in cananda as a worker.

1. Is this the right form for me as I am under the working holdiay visa right now?
2. if so, this form has no place to tell them I am currently employed...

Its in the section: "details of intended work" I have issues. Question number 2 asks my prospective employer. Should I write there my current employer?

"duration of expected employer, from to? hmm till I change from work maybe?

And do I need a LMO for this.

What I am trying todo it to go under implied status, so i can stay here doing the same work till i know the decision, right?

Right now I am just doubting if i use the right form, as I come from a Work - holiday visa...

Its really stops getting my sleep, as I want to send the forms asap (i still have till july, than my WHP will be over).

Anyone was in the same situation as me or anyone can give me straight advice,

I would really appriciate it,

ben

Hi
I'm not very familiar with the inland process so I can't help you with your main question but I just wanted to tell you to really double-check whether you are allowed to be on implied status with a working holiday visa, since this is a visa with a fixed date expiry that cannot be extended under any condition. I've read conflicting opinions on this forum, if I were you i'd check with an immigration lawyer (they shouldn't charge you for a quick question). Better be safe then sorry because last thing you want to do is work illegally. I think going inland, you would receive your OWP after 8-9 months...

I thought so too -but that is not the case:

If you include in the PR the OWP, than you got implied status and you can stay working untill a first stage decision is made.
