Hi all,

I am about to send my application off for my PR through the common-law sponsorship route. I was under the impression it would be best for me to send my Open Work Permit application on paper at the same time (of course to the two different addresses).

Does anyone know if they are still accepting paper applications for the OWP due to COVID? My understanding is the PR paperwork must be sent on paper, however I know the Open Work Permit can be done online?

Many thanks!

you have to send it via paper.
they accept certain paper applications for the owp, majority has to be online, but since this one is part of a permanent residency application, it is an exception to the new rules.

Can you please provide the link of what the new rules are?. My understanding is if we are applying for spousal PR + OWP both the applications has to be in paper sent together.

As I said, it's an exception to the new rules, because its linked to a pr application, so you send it via paper. The new rules are basically just that the majority of applications are only processed online, but sponsorship and the according owp are only on paper, so it's not included in those rules.
