Open Work Permit not received yet, due Feb 4th

Hi everyone,
I submitted my PR family class app with Open Work Permit app on October 4th. As per the info guide, I should have received it 4 months later (Feb 4th). I have not received anything until now. I maintained a valid visitor visa and extended it till the end of the year.
I tried calling CIC, but every single time the call termiantes. Abd they have not answered my electronic enqury yet.

I am wondering, is it normal to have a delay? Should I wait for a bit longer, or does this delay means that something went wrong with my app?

They have been taking a little longer right now. Can you link it on MyCIC to see if it's been approved?

Can work permits be linked? I have received info for my PR app only and already linked. The OWP was not mentioned on the website to get linked.

Yes they can also be linked. Once sent, the owp and pr app become separate. You wont get notifications or any info on the owp until it arrives in your mailbox...but you can link it just like the pr app.

But what information do I have to fetch it from myCIC, so that I can link it?

After clicking link an app select temp residence and then work permit or extention
Then use your uci number and name . The only thing you wont know is the application number (which is different from the pr app app number)

I love you, man. linked and says approved. Have never thought about looking under temporary residency (How stupid, now it is so obvious) !! Now should I just wait for it in the mail, or what should I do next?

No problem....yep just watch that mailbox. Can take a couple weeks once approved...but should be any day. Gets approved...then goes to printer then mailed.
