Open Work Permit - Help required please

Hi,

I can't find the same situation as mine on other topics here, any help greatly appreciated.

I am from the UK, currently in Canada on a tourist visa until October 2013.
My partner is Australian, working in Canada on a Work Permit (LMO) valid until May 2015.

I understand that I can apply for an Open Visa attached to his for me to be able to work, but I cannot find the forms anywhere on the CIC website. How do I go about applying for this? I have had a job offer here, but they want me to apply for the open visa (which they think should be straightforward). I do not want to go through spousal sponsorship or LMO if possible.

go to the cic web site, you can apply online. I just applied OWP online yesterday.

Sklin, which forms did you use please? I find the CIC website very hard to navigate, and find myself going round in circles.

If you are under 31 or 30 you can apply for a 12 month open work permit through the International Experience Canada Working Holiday Program

There is no specific OWP app. See here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp.
