Hi Guys,

Good day, I just have a query regarding the open work permit of my wife. I am a student permit holder and will be graduating this year and my wife is an open work permit holder which will expire this year also. Just want to ask for your insights if there will be an issue if we renew the open work permit of my wife here in MISSISSAUGA and use it elsewhere in Canada like work in Edmonton or Calgary for that matter as we are planning to move province after my studies are done because we have noticed that in the open work permit of my wife there is a connotation that states Employment Location: Mississauga?

Thanks,
Paul

You can move. You will need to get pgwp, get a job in NOC 0, A or B and 3 pay stubs for your wife to get an SOWP after hers expire.

hi @pawiks101 ,

I am in a similar situation where I have to apply for my wife's Open Work Permit extension. She is already working for one firm. In the IMM5710 form section 3 (I am applying for one or more of the following), I am confused as to which option is to be chosen. Option c is the logical one. But it throws a warning and asks to choose one of option a or b along with it.
For now she will continue with the same employer, but dont want the permit to be restricted to one employer.

Did you face this issue and have any advise?

Thanks in advance

Option c is not the logical one. Restoration is for people in Canada illegally. Select "for the first time or new employer".

Oh Thanks a lot. Yeah, a bit more Google search told me that. Thanks for your reply. I am proceeding with "for the first time or new employer"
