Open Work Permit Extension: Application for Same Employer or New Employer?

There doesn't seem to be an option to extend just the OWP. I had to choose from either a new employer or the same employer; however, that doesn't seem to make sense considering it's an OWP and the employer is irrelevant.

I submitted the application for the same employer, but again, this seems odd.

Is this an issue someone else has encountered?

You cannot extend permits without getting an LMIA. And an OWP is once in a lifetime opportunity. You cannot extend it, and if you choose to extend your stay, you will have to get an LMIA.

So did you get the OWP extension? I am in the same state and not sure what t o select. Any advice?
