Open work permit exceeds processing times

Good morning everyone!
I’m a refugee in canada, and I had applied for the work permit on 3 September 2023
By now the work permit has exceeded processing times by 7 days!
I had given my biometrics on 7th February 2024
I urgently need this work permit? Is this normal and what can I do to speed it up?

additionally is there any way I can get my sin number with just the approval and not the physical copy if I get the approval email ?

Processing time is not 7 days. It is between a few months to over a year these days. There is unfortunately nothing you can do. Do the dramatic increase in asylum applications everything related to asylum applications and protected people will be taking much longer than most people expect.

Hey thank u for the reply! I know the processing time isn’t 7 days but that it’s taken already 120 days for me when they said 101. I know there’s a lot of people but I know many friends who’ve gotten theirs in a month so I’m just worried
