Anyone here who had surpass the waiting game after OWP had been returned or resubmitted due to any reasons?

How long did you have to wait after resubmission? Hope anybody can share if it took 2-3 months again?
If you had to resubmit, it goes to the bottom of the pile. Expect the standard 4 months.

update:
even though I paid and got a confirmation from IRCC, they still sent me back my OWP.
I resend it on Feb 14 to Edmonton station 777. Received Feb 19. Couldn't link my application yet.
Does anyone know how long it takes before I can link it?
Hey hope everything goes fine , any update from your owp ?

Hi guys just to share. As you all know my OWP was returned to me in March 26 due to one missing payment. Immediately solved the issue and sent back the OWP app same day.

Few days later ive been worried since I was told that we will have to wait for another 4 months.

So then I decided to email through webform and this was their response

Good day (my full name),

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet.

However, rest assured that this situation is normal since the responsible office is currently processing applications received by mail before December 1, 2018.

We invite you to verify the processing times on the IRCC website and contact us using the IRCC Web form if they have passed.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Sincerely,

Simon, Agent 4347
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

I think I no longer need to tell you guys that we are indeed back to the bottom pile. They are just working on before DEC 1, 2018 app. This is terrible!

Hi All,

I have the same situation here for my OWP extension. I submitted my inland PR family class(spouse) application in Feb 4 2019 and CPC Mississauga received it 2 days after. I got my AOR in March 28 2019. CIC sent back my OWP permit extension application due to insufficient payment (I only paid $155 WP application fee) and it was sent back to me on April 1st. I paid the missing fee and sent back the same day. Now I am not sure if it did it right coz I sent it back to CPC Mississauga as I did not see any instruction to send it somewhere else. I remember the note says " CPC Mississauaga will not proceed with the application until the fee is paid so I thought to resubmit the OWP application with the correct payments. My current work permit will expire on April 21st and I'm so worried that CPC Mississauga will return my OWP application again for the reason that it was resubmitted to the wrong case office. Need your thoughts re my case and I thank you in advance for your future feedback.

Hi.
When i got my OWP back, there was a explanation letter, on one side was the reason why they returned it and on other side instructions where to send it.
Try to call them and explain your situation, maybe they can help you.

Thanks Vivolino! I will call them today. Do you mind if you tell where you mailed back your OWP application? Is it the same case office where you sent your OWP the first time?

First time together with PR to Mississauga, and resent it to Edmonton.

I called IRCC yesterday and I was advised to send the application again to Edmonton CPC. I mailed the IMM5710e, receipts (correct payment total of $255) letter explaining my situation and the AOR letter.

Thanks Vivolino! Did you get your OWP after you resubmitted it? How long did it take?
Not yet, I resubmit it in February, they received February 19, and I could link it March 25. Someone was saying after resubmitting process takes 4 month

Processing time for submitted work permits is 111 days(last updated March 31st). That is around 3.75 months. I resent OWP and it was received January 31st and still no word on it.

We must hope that on the next processing time update that it be the same or a bit faster than 111 days!

oh boy. I hope it'll be faster. I saw your timeline, are you currently on implied status as a worker?

Long story short. I fell out of status in November 2018. The following week I submitted a restoration of visitor status.

In December 2018 I applied for inland PR + OWP (no status).

January 25th 2018, my status was restored so I resubmitted another OWP with valid status.

I was told by CIC agent that i didnt have to submit restoration app + OWP with my PR because they would see the restoration app on my file (big mistake).

If I submitted restoration with my OWP and PR then it would have all been processed together..

One agent told me my 4 month timeline would be honored from Dec 14th and another agent said timeline starts when my status was restored.

But I have read somewhere else that sponsored OWP submitted after initial PR is processed a BIT faster but I dont know.

Now I am on visitor status that was restored in January. I will be applying for extension soon just in case.

*edit* I could not restore my previous worker status because it was post grad. owp and was maxed at 3 years
