(sorry if this question has already been answered or is in the wrong thread)
Does anyone know if the OWP is issued immediately (or at least soon) after your inland application is received?
I know outland apps for US citizens are processed way faster than inland apps. But I don't mind waiting longer if I am allowed to work. Everyone so far seems to be recommending outland apps though. *stuck in a conundrum*
My other concern is traveling outside of Canada with an inland app. My common-law partner and I have a trip potentially planned for late summer (and it may be for 1 or 2 months). Right now, I am currently requesting to extend my visitor status. So, would we only be allowed to do a typical canadian vacation of 2 weeks? Are outland apps not restricted to how much you want to travel if you have the proper visitor extension....in which case, would that also be sufficient for inland apps?
Personally, I prefer being able to work and waiting longer for the PR, but not at the cost at being unable to travel.
