I got married in December in my back country india. Right now I am on workpermit in canada which is going to be expired on April 2021.

I already have applied for Permanent residency via PNP but it might take more than 8 months to get approval( bcz processing time for master pnp is 20 months)

now how can I invite my spouse from india?
Is it ok if I invite via spouse open work permit? Bcz my work permit is going to be expired in 4 months.

Is she included in your PR application? OWPs take a minimum of 34 weeks so your work permit will have expired by then. Plus she needs travel authorization. You can try for a visitor visa but likely to be refused if your PR is in process. Processing is 8-12 months.

Thank you for response.

what should I do?

should I add her name in my PNP file? But it will take longer if I add her name....

do you have any idea how much time it would take after adding her name in my PNP federal file?

It already been 12 month since I have applied for my federal via pnp.

Did you just get married this month? You can add her as non-accompanying. Not adding her to your application is misrepresentation as you must declare that you are now married. If you don’t declare her and you get PR, you will never be able to sponsor her.

You must inform IRCC about your change in marital status. Then you update your application and add your spouse as dependent. You then have an option to update your application and add your spouse to your application as a dependent. There will be forms and requests like medical and police certificate. It may add time. Focus on that rather than her getting an OWP.

Well depends on how quickly you get all your spouse’s documentation, medicals, police checks completed and submitted. Processing is long due to Covid but it should not change much.

Hello,

today due to 461 cut off, I came across one question.

Firstly, I already got nomination from Ontario for master graduate. And now I got ITA from express entry.

due to less processing time in express entry, I am thinking to do further process via express entry instead of OINP.

may I do this?

anyone has any idea regarding this scenario?

I believe you can decline the OINP and accept the ITA.
