Open bridge work permit on hold

Dear Team,

I would need your expert advise.

I applied for express entry in Nov 2016 and applied for permanent residence in dec 2016 after receiving ITA.

My ICT visa was expiring in Jan 15 2017, so I applied for open bridge work permit.

I came back to India and now working from mumbai.

My open bridge work permit application is on hold, what does that mean?

I have received an offer letter from a reputated bank in toronto and I would like to join. However bank wants me join ASAP within a month.

What are my options as I dont have open bridge work permit or PR in hand as of now.

Please advise. Thank you for your support.

You need OBWP to work until your PR application is approved. You can call CIC and check the status of your application.

Your BOWP is on hold because yours R10 competences and criminality is not completed,it takes 1 to 2 months completed then they would proceed and approved your application so nothing to worry,and for BOWP there is no need offer letter.........so wait till at the end of this month.

I'm afraid the bank which has made job offer, will not wait for 2 months to join ! So I might end up loosing this job.
