@praveen congratulations. terrific news.

friends @raj and other senior members need some additional help : i have mentioned "Relationship in Canada" - My mums real sister is a canada citizen (my aunt) - now the challenge is :: my grandfathers name is mentioned differently in their passports - how do i solve this? should i delete that from my EE profile or should i submit a affidavit from my aunt and mother?

any inputs would be very very helpful.

best,
ekta

Hi guys, congratulations to all who got ITA. i have some questions that may have already been answered, but 200+ pages is just too difficult to backread. Hope you can indulge me on this...after your nomination from OINP:

- has anyone received their nomination certificate to be employer specific or is it like an open WP without any annotations?
- during OINP, you have submitted reference letters from employers - did you need to request an updated on or was the ones you submitted to OINP accepted even if it was dated 8-10 months ago? (this covers past and current employers)
- can you request police certificate ahead of time? If so...anyone knows how far ahead will the police certificate date be accepted by IRCC/CIC.
-any other documents we submitted from OINP that can be re-used? (e.g. WES, IELTS), any other that we can request or prepare ahead of time?

This doesn't give you any additional points. I suggest that you delete it if you do not have solid evidence to back it up. You can, conversely, get an affidavit made mentioning that both the names are of the same person but IMHO, it is a waste of time and money - doesn't serve any purpose - no CRS points. The choice is yours.

You can use this relationship to prove your social connection and intention reside.

I had similar situation. My first cousin is a Canada resident (son of my mother's real sister). I arranged a letter signed by him in support of my application. Also attached a copy of his PR, Driving licence ets. I used this to show my social connection thr. Also, I didn't mention in my application that i have family relatives in Canada.

In my additional doc request, officer asked for proof of our family relationship, like a document which proves that his mother and my mother are real sisters. I replied with a polite letter that i am not claiming any point for this relationship and i just wanted to show that i have social connections in Ontario. I also pointed towards the part of my application where i had very clearly mentioned that I do not have any family relationship.

Hope this clarifies your doubt.
