My current status is as follows:
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Don't worry regarding the "Provided" portion. The status of my submitted documents (after submitting schedule 4 & 4A) yet to change but got my Passport Request. Good Luck... :-)

Hi. How come your Final decision still shows as Not Started? I thought PPR means that decision has been made and PR has been granted!?

It's not like that.. There is still little chance that u will not be granted visa even after getting the passport request, for example: in your passport there is a visa where u have stayed more than 6 months which u did not mention, so u might still be get rejected (just an hypothetical case)..
So, decision made comes only after they issue the VISA in your passport..
Good Luck... :-)

Oh okay. Thanks! +1 to you. :)

Thanks guys...

Should my resume exactly match with employer reference letter?
However, my resume's roles and responsibilities are super set of whatever mentioned in employer letter.

If I was an officer and found your employer letter to match what you have in your resume 100%, id find it very fishy to be honest...

Just write a resume that reflects your roles in the best way possible and it will naturally be similar to your employer letter but keep your resume general enough like you are applying for a different job, that is what I did , I actually changed my resume a bit after I saw that my employer's letter did include some exactly similar terms, so I just paraphrased my resume lol .... worked just fine, got the Ontario nomination since October :)

Good luck, dont worry it will be fine (unless their quota is full now but I have not checked in a while)

Well, I am not sure if your explanation is correct.

People get DM both before and after the PPR and they get their visas.

Your comment "decision made comes only after they issue the VISA in your passport" is void, IMO.

passport validity

I got PT and last date to send documents by 10th Jan.
When i read application guide it says that your passport should be valid for next 2yrs. Mine is expiring in exactly 2yrs 20 days from date of submission of application.

Now its impossible to get new passport in such a short duration. What you suggest:

1) shall i go ahead and submit my application with this passport.
2) and can I apply for new passport later and get it updated ?

Send what you have and book appointment for new one and send copy of appointment along with LOE stating that you intent to update the passport. Once you get a new one, send them a copy of new passport.

When I applied for OOPNP, my passport had 1 year and 8 months left in it and since I am in a different country and my embassy here needs at least 2 months to get a new passport issued as my last one was already renewed and id need a new one issued which takes 2-3 months, I used it normally and attached an explanation letter stating that I cannot renew as it is already renewed and passport scans show that and it takes time to issue a new one .... I later on traveled back home and got a new passport which I sent a full scan of to Ontario immigration as per their request....

In sum, from personal experience it is YES for both your questions.

Hi All,

I got Ontario PT on Dec 18.

Created EE Profile On: Dec 16
CRS: 417
NOC: 2173

Hi,
I got ITA and during filing online form i have some confusion.

In my EE profile I claimed two work experiences and got OINP nomination for that as well as EE CRS point.
Now they are asking my last ten (10) years work history, I worked in some places that are nor related to my education and it will never possible to get any documents from them (as no pay slips or ref letter is possible to get).

So, my question is, as I have to put all the work history, will they ask documents for this kind of job too in future?
or should I exclude that and mentioned that I was unemployed.

thanks in advanced.

Hi,
Need experts opinion.
I got ITA and applying under PNP-CEC category. I am living inside Canada (work permit). But I need to move to USA as I got a Job there?

Can I still file application under CEC? is there will be any problem with my application in future?

thanks
Munanshaik
