Thank you very much Damocles,
I have relatives in Toronto and I did the same way, may be it's the only indirect way to pay ;D . They tell me that in Canada, it is normal to send money order to the government only by mentioning, for example, "Ontario Minister of Finance", while in foreign countries, for international payment, bank and post office always insist to have receiver's name, account number or further information.

Hi Guys,

Although it's my first post but Ii kind of feel I know you all for since long time now :-) .. reason is I have been following this thread for 3 months or so.

In a nutshell: I Applied for FSW in august 2015 with English as main language CLB 7. I reached a max CRS score of 345. back in April I passed TEF I got CLB 8. I didn't receive any PT. Meanwhile, I discovered this thread and followed you advices and changed French to be my 1st language. nothing occurred till my application expired in 20th august 2016.

On 24th I re-created my profile on 24th August and got PT on 29th August (same day as you Aal_ !!! :D). so I confirm from my side as well that French needs to be first language AND will add that profile needs to be new (I don't know how long but when did the change on my old profile nothing happened). when I re-created it worked.

Damocles, if you want to add me to the list:

CSR 390
EE App Submitted: AUG/24/2016
OINP PT Notification: AUG/28/2016
OINP App Submitted: XXX

I followed the advices of maleeksha and given link (thanks maleeksha !!). I am half way finished with the file but i still have couple of queries if you can help.

- Submitting a resume: should resume cover all my work experience or it ought to be the 6 years of experience I specified in application.
- Employer reference letter: my company's HR refused to add section for "main responsibilities and duties in each position". is ok to send the reference letter without and send a Job description document (stamped by HR) along ?
- Any sample for "Ties established in Ontario" proof doc... with the pressure of the deadline I'm in lack of inspiration !! :(
- DD: thanks you very much Damocles for your help in previous post. It is a very good option. let me see if I can get this closed quickly.

if you guys can help with the above I'd appreciate it.

thanks

Congrats BingoLion!

Maybe, you should still add a brief about positions held and company names for experience > 6 years

If HR would really not give you the letter in the format requested, I guess that's all you can do. For documents, that needed a 'backup', I had included a sticky note which mentions the 'backup' document and have grouped them together.

For me it was easy, since my sister is in Ontario. If you do not have any family ties, you can stress on how being bilingual will help you to contribute to the vibrant Francophone community. Research on companies in your field and mention that you have started networking.

And remember, it's better to send your package a couple of days later, than regret not sending any additional docs that might support your application :)

Good luck!

Hi Members,
Not sure if it is the good topic for this post (that I posted in another topic as well for the FSSWS timeline ...) but it seems this thread has more followers ...
So i re-post again below :

Hi members,

I have seen on the OINP HCPS topic that there is one guy who sent his application mid of July and received his AOR approx. 1 month later. I have noticed that the reply from the OINP was in French ...

So, i have a question ... have you submitted your package (I mean the OINP forms and letter of explanations etc ...) in French or in English ?

Because despite I have read many times that HCPS and FSSWS seem to be treated the same way without distinction, I was just wondering that maybe OINP receives only "few" packages in French (compared to the huge quantity of applications in English) and therefore these applications in French are directly handled by OINP officers able to speak/communicate in French ... (as I do not believe that all the OINP officers are bilingual ...) and then could potentially accelerate the timelines of the applications in French ... or maybe this guy is just lucky ...

Maybe some seniors in the FSSWS could advise the language they used/use for their communication with the OINP ...

Thank you

I think it has to do with his NOC, he is a pharmacist and there seems to be a shortage of those.

Dear PonJoub
I suppose that it is thank to the professional field of that lucky guy.
I applied many time for tourist/ study visa for Canada and USA from Paris, their officers speak fluently both French and English. Therefore I believe that reading French is not a big problem for Canadian CIC officers although they don't use French daily in their life.
My package is bilingual ::) I have no choice cuz half of my documents are in French. If I get all of them translated into English and notarized, it will cost a lot! and 2 among my 3 old employers don't speak English fluently (in case of CIC's interview :-X)

Hi friends, I need to ask you, if I photocopy all pages of the passport, some of the pages contain non english/french language like a residence permit for example. Should I translate that?

Hi sofrofro,
we should have been pharmacist then ... ^^'
Thanks for your input :)

Hi nthuynh ,
Thanks for your comments ;) My package will be bilingual as well (but mostly in English as most of my relevant NOC experiences were overseas).
But I was thinking that despite some of the documents (e.g. Reference Letters, Bank Statements, etc ...) are in English, maybe filling the OINP forms in and provide potential LOE in French, the timelines process would be faster ... but it seems not ...
It could have been a good try though ...
Thanks again for your input ;)

Hi guys, so first of all, nice to meet you all, i am new to this forum even though ive been reading it for a while so anyway i just have a quick question regarding the French Stream for Ontario, is it still open and also how long did it take for you guys to receive a notification of interest? I entered EE september 7, i have CLB 10 for both languages French as my first language and English as my second (took both ielts and TEF) and my CSR is 485, do you guys know if i am doing something wrong, should i just wait and might get it eventually or they usually select you in the first few days (you guys seem to have received it very quickly!!)

Anyway thank you for any help or advice you might have, much appreciated!!

it took me 4 days. Give it at least a week. Or else we know something is wrong and they might have closed.

Thank you so much for your answer Aal_ i will follow your advice and congratulations on getting a PNP from Ontario btw !! I will let you know in a week if i still haven't heard anything ! Thanks again, i appreciate it !

Guys, after much consideration I decided not to choose French as my primary language.
I see that Ontario is really slow with processing the files of the candidates (guys from November 2015 have been waiting for the nomination).
I'll better wait till the cut-off score drops to mine (which is now 471 and will be 496 in February/March/April depending on how they calculate it)...

If meanwhile they send me an EOI, I'll accept it of course (for example, once Human Capital Priorities Stream reopens). But I really would not like to entirely rely on Ontario PNP in my immigration process... Patience is hardly one of the virtues I possess.

Hello everyone
Have you recently updated this news?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/hire/francophone.asp

New: Starting June 1, 2016, French-speaking or bilingual skilled workers who intend to work in a communities outside Quebec may be exempt from a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Read about the changes.
(But when I click on "Read about the changes" there is no further information) :-X

Is it indeed a new ideal way for us? We all know deep down how hard and expensive an LMIA is.
Imagine: If we try to success in a job interview (Bilingual position) then we only need to persuade the recruiter to send this job offer to CIC visa office in Paris. Include detailed information such as the job title, duties, expected start and end dates, salary and benefits...which is much easier than apply for LMIA. And we will get 600 points for job offer in EE profile, right?

Why do they say "may be"? (not "are") Which condition is required?

Can anyone please confirm? I don't see any discussion on this subject ;)
Many thanks and regards
