Hi Damocles,

For now I'm getting all my info together and as soon as I have my TEF done (not before April 2017, no TEF available in NZ) I will be creating my EE profile and hope for an Ontario nomination under the French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.

Keep you updated throughout and good luck to all of you already in the process.

I am in a process of improving the format of the list. I copied and pasted it from an excel sheet but it is not rendered well on this page , depending on the device used to access it and zoom factor. I will try to used the built in table feature provided by the forum. I will update it as soon I am done re-formatting it using a suggested format by rajkamalmohanram. Keep sending your timeline updates.

Good luck to all for the AOR and ultimately nominations

Hi BC4life,

You are welcome and your timeline has been updated

Guys, I just received the interest letter!!! Thank you for whomever told me to put FRENCH as a first language sorry i forgot who you are. I CONFIRM after 2 months of no interest letter and recreating the profile multiple times, it is when I put French as first language is when I got the invitation. My CRS is 383.

By the way they say to contact Ontario immediately, what does that mean, what should u do next?? THANKS!

Congratulations Aal !!! That was great news .
For some time now , I had the feeling that , although it is not mentioned as a prerequisite, having French as a first language makes all the difference between getting selected or not . So , you absolutely confirmed my hunch . As for me , the problem is that once I change French as my first language , I become ineligible by scoring less than 67 /100 . Yet , in order to check this theory , I put my great aunt (my mother's first cousin) as a relative in Canada , which gives me 5 points , and changed my 1st language to French . I will keep you posted if I get the pt , but in the meantime could someone let me know whether :
1. Does my great aunt count as a relative ? We are close , but I did not included her before in my profile because she is living in Montreal
2. If I get selected , my husband will take the ielts test , in order to earn an extra 5 points , but that might not be within the 45 day window . Is that ok ?

Good luck Aal ! And Conglatulations to Damocles for your list , good job !

Hello ,
This is a question to Aal and all you guys who have received a pt .
Is it possible once you get selected and receive the pt , to update the express entry profile and put English as first language instead of French ?

Congrats Aal!
You need to send the application package and the payment to Ontario. Download the application guide and read everything carefully. I sent mine last Friday and they received it yesterday.

Raj's post in http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/oinp-ee-human-capital-priorities-stream-comprehensive-guide-t396543.0.html was very helpful in preparing my application package. Good luck!

How long do you think you'll have to wait till they officially nominate you? I know that people have been waiting for months...

And guys, how do you prove your Ties to Ontario?

I know it's going to be a loooooong wait. People from Oct/Nov 2015 are still waiting for nomination. But the good news is that the almost all of the Human capital priority stream (HCPS) applicants have received their AOR and the nomination for some of them might be close, since they are receiving calls etc. from OINP officers. We only need to wait till they are done with applications received in Mar-2016. The HCPS closed on 16th Feb and since applicants have 45 days to submit their applications, once they received the NOI, the last application received was probably on the 31st March. Ours might be a tad quicker than the Oct/Nov applicants since they stopped some streams in Feb and May 2016. I just hope that our processing is well under way before Nov 2016, The HCPS might open again at that time and things might slow down again.

I think even for our Oct2015 to Mar2016 friends they might not be getting nomination at the same time. Otherwise Ontario might use up all the slots in the CIC draws. My guess is AOR by Oct this year and nomination by Mar next year (i heard OINP is slow in Nov/Dec). And then another 6 months for the federal part.

BTW, did you change your first language to French? Personally I think it's worth the try, now that we have good news from Aal. The last CIC draw had a cutoff of above 500 anyway ...

For ties in Ontario, my sister lives in Ontario and I have provided all her papers in my application (citizenship doc, birth certificate, mortgage doc, driver's license)

Not yet. Do you delete and create a new profile with French as your first language? Or can you just switch the languages in your existing profile? I know it's better to create the new one so that they could notice you but is it technically possible to switch the priorities for the languages in the existing EE profile?

And how do people who have no relatives, arranged employement, previous visits, etc. prove their tie? It's quite impossible in this case. I mean I have never been to Canada, neither have I any relative or job offer from there...

This interests me a lot too.

I guess for this one, you can write a really nice letter of intent. Do some networking in your field and start following some companies in ON. You can mention these in your Letter of Intent. But most importantly, just stress on the fact that you are bilingual and how you can contribute to Ontario's French community.
