Well done! that was a long wait! Did they give any further details why it wasn't progressing or they JUST CHANGED THE STATUS?Rover1 said:My application was stuck in "Submitted" status since 3 months. After patiently waiting, I decided to query OINP. They replied to me today and my application status has changed to "assessment".
I hope things will move normally now.
Great! You should get your nomination in a couple of weeks if not less. Good luck!Charlotte Frenchie said:Oooh I changed to Decision in Progress yesterday !! Exciting
Thanks. Yes indeed a long wait, especially since others who submitted later were progressing. No explanations given. Just recommended me to check status on e-portal where I found that the status had been updated.PaulRich said:Well done! that was a long wait! Salut Paul, peux tu partager le lien pour les new requirements ? Mon status still decision in progress )PaulRich said:New ONP changes show more documents now mandatory to prove work history !!!!
My question now is: Do the new requirements apply to those who applied before these changes?
7. Work History (mandatory)magicangmoh said:Salut Paul, peux tu partager le lien pour les new requirements ? Mon status still decision in progress )
From that list, there is only 1 new requirement. Everything else was there before as well.PaulRich said:7. Work History (mandatory) - it was required before, we are speaking about 10 years of personal history. But you only have to proove those for which you want to claim points.
7.1 Résumé (mandatory) - they requested it before as well (most people will need it when searching for new job). Thing is they are not bothered by the type of resume.
7.2 Employment Reference Letters (mandatory) - this was requested before as well. This letter can include confirmation of compensations, then you do not have to prove it separately
7.3 Work Contracts (mandatory) - this is new and was not required before.
7.4 Proof of Compensation (mandatory) - only if it is not confirmed in your reference letter
Proof of compensation from previous and current employer
7.5 Canadian Work Experience (mandatory if applicable) - this was requested before as well. It is also requested on the federal level.
If you are currently working in Canada, include copies of your Canada
Revenue Agency T4 Statements of Remuneration Paid and Notice of
Assessment (NOA) statements (if applicable) for the periods of work
experience stated in your application.
Note: Please ensure that you redact your Social Insurance Number.
7.6 Regulated Occupation (mandatory if applicable) - this is only applicable if you are already working in regulated occupation in Ontario. If you are working abroad, they do not care much about additional licence that you might need. And it is kind of understandable when proving your Canadian work experience
If you are working in a regulated occupation in Ontario, include a copy
of your certification or licence in Ontario or a copy of your certificate of
qualification issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
7.7 Self-Employment (mandatory if applicable) - this is actually a big help for applicants who wants to prove self employed work experience. It guides you directly what to forward.
If you are or have been self-employed, include, where available, copies
of the following documents:
Business/company registration documents,
Proof of business conducted with clients (i.e. invoices, bills, and
client references),
Balance sheets,
Income tax returns,
T4A Statements (if self-employed in Canada), and
Proof of license to practice if you are a private practitioner in a
regulated field.
7.8 Other Work-Related Documentation (if applicable) - sometimes they request work visa, if where you got your work experience such visa are required.
These are listed in the checklist attached to the new application guide page 43 http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_FRENCH.html
Charlotte: you share the same timeline with me. Mine has changed to decision in progress too...!Charlotte Frenchie said:Oooh I changed to Decision in Progress yesterday !! Exciting

For your case, the requirements that were valid at the day when you have submitted application shall apply. But they can ask for the contract in ADR (but they cannot cancell your application if it is missing).PaulRich said:Thanks Vensak for your clarification. Actually contracts were also mentioned in previous guides. However, what's new is that they are MANDATORY NOW and compensation can be proven in different ways. It's important to read the details on page 43 of the guide.
Back to my question. Do you think these apply to us who applied before these changes?
Many thanks!
