You are correct. it's for identity documents only. I just called up my university and the registrar's office advised me to bring my original degree, they will make a photocopy themselves and then certify it using the registrar's stamp. Also my university will provide me with official transcripts in a sealed envelope for a small fee.tiffany123 said:Hi,

I would suggest, you to call some of the higher authorities in your university and discuss with them. I am sure they will have a way out.
