Hello there,
I received from Ontario an invitation to apply for their provincial nominee program after applying for Canada Express entry program. I have paid for the assessment and provided all the required papers and submitted them in December 2015. Results are expected by end of March 2016 as the assessment process needs almost 3 months. I have some questions which I hope you can help me with:
1. does the process take usually more then 3 months
2. how much is it granted to get an approval and invitation to apply ?? % ?
3. is a proof of family 1st level family connection is needed to grant you an acceptance?
4. Should I have a job offer to be accepted ?

Appreciate you replies as I am

Nowadays OINP is sending AOR after around 110 days. After that another 1 to 2 months for nomination.

2. how much is it granted to get an approval and invitation to apply ?? % ?
If the officer is satisfied with your application, then he will nominate you. Around 90 percent have received nomination.

3. is a proof of family 1st level family connection is needed to grant you an acceptance?
Not at all a condition.

4. Should I have a job offer to be accepted ?
Job offer is not mandatory.

Appreciate you replies as I am

OINP is working slowly right now, you will be lucky to receive your AOR this month.

I read on their website that they do not process any applications during the months of Dec and Jan and those two months are not countable on the 90 days period.

Any one can confirm this?

Regards,

Hello @s.abuhass, hope you get your nomination asap :) and all the best to all for ahead.

I have some silly queries, if someone can help me get an understanding, it will be really helpful:

1. To apply for PNP, one should create a EE profile in CIC portal; and there mention the provinces you are interested in?
2. Can you choose multiple provinces?
3. How is EE-PNP different from EE-FSW? Which is easier and quicker? (I will be trying under NOC 2174)
4. For EE FSW CRS score is used as per my knowledge; for PNP also is the same score used or the 100 point system used?
5. Also, if job offer is not mandatory, I believe one has to show the funds in his/her bank acct? Is that correct?

@s.abuhass, could you share the score?

@ cool_puns:
I should say I am not an expert here in this matter! I have started my process by creating an EE profile under NOC 2141 and got a score of 438 and chose Ontario as my province. I received an invitation to apply later during December !
Regarding the job offer, I have to say that I don't have a job offer too!
Hopefully that would be enough for me to pass and get a nomination! if somebody here who has more details and can help us, it would be really appreciated.

Thanks buddy, it helps!! But would be great if someone can share details as i have to make a decision soon.

Hi sushsmart15,
Any idea on what are the reasons for rejections?

For OINP, the two major reasons so far for rejection have been:
1. Candidate has not completed minimum one year experience on the date PT NOI was received by the candidate.
2. Work exp. of candidate in NOC Code was not during the last 5 years.

I have not seen any other reasons, though there may be another 1 or 2 reasons.

OINP is currently taking about 120 days to send AOR at the moment due to the backlog of applications they have.
