Dear All,

Need a sincere opinion.

1. With spouse as non-accompanying, my score is 471
2. With spouse as accompanying it reduces to 449 (there are chances that i receive PT nomination with 449, but currently they are on halt as well)

I have twin daughters who are just 1 year old. I am quite concerned about taking them with me at this stage since my wife wont be able to work and it would difficult to handle both alone in a new country. So I am thinking of applying PR for myself only, because it is giving me benefit in points as well. Later after reaching there, lets say after 6 months, apply for my spouse and children. Through online resources, it seems that Family sponsorship takes a very long process. How true is that? Is it practical to do what i m thinking of?

Secondly if family sponsorship takes long time (CIC website says 28 months), is there any other way through which my family stays with me while their PR is in process??

Thanks all

It is really sad.. They should have given some deadline beforehand and now we are shattered after 3 months..

Does it mean that they restart sending notifications in December 2016 or they stopped it forever?
Yes, it can be inferred so from the below statement.

Ontario anticipates that it will receive its 2017 nomination allocation from the federal government before the end of November 2016, and the province expects to be in a position to accept applications for some streams in six months.

It is still not clear what will happen if there are high number of applications returned and they have vacancy. Will they send NOI to complete 2016 quota or carry forward those numbers to 2017.

Yes, we lost money doing the assessments and its is not worth now..I would say it could have been predicted earlier by them.

I believe they should have come out with this info earlier, right after they stopped sending PTs. However, Canada is not a humanitarian organization, they work primarily in their best interest. So, let's not forget immigration is also a big business, and someone makes a lot of money out of hopes and dreams. It's just the way things are.
