My brother is applying for Ontario PNP under the international graduate student category.
He does not have an income source right now so I want to transfer required funds to him needed to apply for immigration.

My question is if is it okay for me I transfer a lump sum amount in his account for this purpose? If not then what is the proper way to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Under CIC rules, the funds can't come from somebody else, and they can't be borrowed. Basically they must be the applicant's own savings. And if CIC suspects that the funds came from a "suspicious" source, then they can certainly look into that and potentially reject the application.

I'm not sure if the OPNP rules are the exact same, but I would assume at least somewhat similar rules apply, since CIC will have the final say at the end for immigration purposes anyway. Someone with more experience with OPNP can correct me if I'm wrong.
