Hello Expert members,
I really need some help here. It's been 62 days now and my application is still in DIP since August, 10.
I called Ontario immigration to see if something is wrong. After the lady checked from her side using my file number she told me that everything looks OK, and there was no request to any additional documents or whatsoever.
I asked here if my application has been escalated to a senior officer for decision, she said no, actually all applications are directed at the final stage to a senior officer for final review and approval, and you just have to wait.
Now in your opinion what could be wrong and how should I take the next step ?. Has anyone faced the same scenario before.

Nothing's wrong, they told you the truth.
For some it takes more time than for others.

Sit there and wait, maybe send an email to see if they rush it a little more, because you have more than 60 days now.

But basically just see the waiting as an exercise to improve your patience.

Applications that have exceeded average processing times are at the procedural fairness stage, the last step in assessment.

Sit tight, guys. Your nominations should be coming any day now. They issued 1006 nominations between August 8 and September 11, which is an average of 29.588 nominations per day. By contrast, they issued 491 between July 10 and August 8, at a rate of 16.931 per day, and 412 between June 19 and July 10, at a rate of 19.619 per day.

Note that they still list a 30-60 day processing time for HCP applicants, so they are probably finishing processing the final applications and you guys who have gone beyond 60 days should be getting your nominations any day now:

Do follow up with OINP if you guys haven't received nominations after 60 days, but after that, please try not to follow up too often, maybe no more than once a week, so they can focus on finishing up your applications instead of answering the phone and checking status.

Anyone received a NOI recently ? I want to know if I should recreate my EE profile or just wait till they reopen which I believe it will be very soon

They stopped issuing NOIs (for HCP stream, which is what I assume you're asking about) when they closed the stream on July 25. So don't bother re-creating your EE profile now, but do so after they start issuing NOIs again.

The word seems to be that they are looking to open and close the streams on a quarterly basis, so hopefully they will reopen in Q4 (some time between October and December).

quota info also not updated yet... and there is no news about re opening... this wait is killer....

I think you should worry a little more for the fact that the day you start thinking about something ...u get a quick reply on that from the valid source

Really feeling nostalgic after watching the Monthly Nomination. Its bit worried now.
As we have almost 3.5 months left for this year and only 988 nomination left.
Don't know what will happen in the forthcoming time.

Yes, I am getting nervous as well. They sure issued a lot of nominations this past month. Now, I wonder why it says OINP is processing applications submitted and paid for March 7, 2017 and August 27, 2017 inclusive for HCP. Since HCP was closed to new entries on July 25, the last day someone could have registered would have been July 25, and the last day anyone could have submitted would have been August 6, with the 14 day requirement. I also am worried and really hope there will be nominations left over for us after they clear out existing applications. At least the good thing is they haven't increased the 30-60 day expected processing time, so they have cleared out backlog in their expected timeframes. I hope at least they will reopen registration to those of us who already have NOIs, even if they don't have enough quota left to issue new NOIs until next year.

Hmm, I hope that they will reopen HCP by October or November to fill 2017 quotas, given the 30-60 day processing time, and then November/December would start to fill 2018 quotas.
