Hi Guys,

I just get the replay letter from OINP, they mentioned that "you are weak intent to Ontario" and provide an additional opportunity to submit some documents for further review.

Does anyone meet this situation? What else materials should be provided to evidence the OINP.

Thanks~

Hey Bill - Where is this information published. Is there a link ?

Hello Fellow Members,

I recently filled my EE profile and with the CRS of 406, got a letter of interest from Ontario today.
I have few queries regarding that.

1. Is the letter is valid for 6 months? I haven't even started preparing the documents and it would take more than a month for that.
2. "A copy of your current résumé indicating work experience." - what do they mean? Is it enough if I submit my resume which I furnish for job search? Is there any proper format?
3. "Copies of your work contract(s) from previous and current employers for all periods of work (foreign and Canadian) stated in your application." - My employee (TCS) doesn't provide any job contracts, all they have is offer letter, compensation letter and promotion letter.

I request you, members, to provide me some insights.

Thanks in Advance,
Sundar.

Hello -
I submitted oinp application online on 14th june. It changed to assessment on 15th and it again changed to DIP on 16th.
Never heard any one saying the status changed so quick as mine. Not sure if this is a positive sign. Any ideas what is the difference between Assessment and DIP. Is there still a possiblity in DIP that they will revert to me with some additional questions or evidence?
Appreciate your response... Thanks!!
BTW , My noc : 2173.

Wow! This is record breaking! Ontario desperately needs you ;)

On a more serious note, Assessment is when officers are looking through your application and paperwork provided, and Decision in Progress is when they've finished looking through and would soon come to a decision whether to approve your application or ask you for more supporting documents.

I've heard of people getting a request from Ontario for additional documents/evidence while their application is in the Decision in Progress status.

Good luck.

To answer your question in parts:-

1. Yes, the nomination is valid for 6 months .... so it means that within 6 months of invitation you can create ur id and submit anytime .... But make note once you create your id then you have only 15 days to submit the form / application. So please make sure you have each and everything with you before you create your one key id for OINP.

2. Yes, you can use your current resume but just that please don't forget to mention your express entry number in your resume. You can search for resume tips for canada on google and modify to help you better in the future.

3. You can submit offer letter + compensation letter + your promotion letter. Also if possible ask for a reference letter and check the guidelines online as to what is required and make sure all of your work documents are on your company letter head.

Thanks harmit for your detailed response. In accordance to point 3, yes i do have said letters with me but I don't have any work contracts documents which is said to be mandatory in the guide. Any thoughts on this ?

2173 is a popular NOC and many candidates have a similar timeline. You will most probably receive Nomination in next distribution (June 19 or June 23). More than 50% Quota is left for this NOC and that's why it will be fast track.

Assessment: Immigration officer is assessing your file.
DIP: Immigration Officer has assessed your file and final decision is pending.

Additional information can be required even during DIP.
