Dears,
I submitted EE profile last week and got a message from CIC saying 'Ontario would like to consider their Provincial Nomination Program through Express Entry'. They have not indicated any last date for submitting the application for PNP to Ontario.
CRS score of our profile is 461 now and will reduce by 5 points next month due to age increase.
Could you please advice if it is worth giving a try for the Ontario PNP considering the below factors
1. Chances of getting ITA without PNP, in one of the draws happening in next 3 months.
2. Time: I would need a month's time to submit the documents like reference letters to Ontario and then they may take up to 3 months (or even more due to the processing of refugee applications)
3. Cost: Need to spent $1,500 dollars extra for the PNP.
What are the advantages of applying for Ontario PNP now
1. If the PNP quota for this year gets over, will they consider me at the top of the list next year?
2. Is there any way to get the $1,500 back, if I obtain ITA in an EE draw, happening before the PNP gets approved?
3. Are there good job opportunities for IT professionals in Ontario? Is the climate good? How is the cost of living? Would it be possible to stay near to the work place?
Thanks in advance,
Jk.
