Hi everyone,
I have been invited to apply for the Ontario PN Program. However, I am having a lot of doubts. I used to be a Biomedical Scientist but I have been working under NOC 4165 since July 2012. Basically I am not a Biomedical Scientist anymore but I do have 3 years of experience under NOC 4165. Before switching job after my master, I worked 2 years in a private lab. After receiving my PT invitation I tried to contact the lab and I found out that it has been closed. The crisis has hit a lot of business in my home country and most of them (private ones) have unfortunately closed. I could not track anyone down from that lab (it was only 3 of us anyway lol) so I cannot provide the references for that job. I have all references for NOC 4165.
I thought that we were supposed to only provide evidence of work for the NOC you want to work in Canada and not the other ones. But Ontario asks for all your experience. My previous job I can't prove is under a different NOC which is NOT the NOC I would be working in Canada.
Without the Biomedical Scientist experience that I can't prove I have 3 years of work experience under NOC 4165.
I have calculated my points under OOPNP and I have a total of 68. Is that enough to be possibly nominated? Should I write in my clarification letter to them the fact that the lab is closed and can't prove this experience and therefore I don't want to claim points for it?
I am so scared because the fee is high (1.500 CAD) and if I do something wrong I will lose this money. I am literally freaking out.
