and how is the file number sent to us? by post or email?

1. What are the chances of getting nominated under OPNP as a part of the Maters stream??
2. If i am not nominated under Masters stream , how can i extend my stay/work permit ??

Thanks!propain said:Congrats spartacus.
If you can justify your application with documents then its highly likely they would nominate you. I think PNP application and PGWP are unrelated so you should be able to get PGWP.gdange87 said:Guys ... I have a couple of queries here since I have an admit from Ryerson for a 1 year course.

This info would be helpful for me to decide if i should go for a 1 year course or not as I am awaiting updates from a couple of 2 year courses as well.

Usually they send file numbers after two months and its by postal mail.Stealth Assasin said:HI guys, I was wondering on the time line of receiving the file number. I applied mid march and it has been almost 2 months. How long does it take to get a file number?

Thanks for the info Spartacus , I understand that the PGWP is unrelated to the OPNP nomination. But my concern is that what options do I have in the following scenarios as I would be having only 1 year of PGWP and it would be difficult to apply under CEC atleast.spartacus said:Thanks! If you can justify your application with documents then its highly likely they would nominate you. I dont know what other options you may have under scenario 1. Just to let u know the success rate is extremely high (80-90 % I heard)gdange87 said:Thanks for the info Spartacus , I understand that the PGWP is unrelated to the OPNP nomination. But my concern is that what options do I have in the following scenarios as I would be having only 1 year of PGWP and it would be difficult to apply under CEC atleast.
1. I am rejected for OPNP
2. I miss the cap and my file is considered the subsequent year for OPNP
Thank mate!!spartacus said:Usually they send file numbers after two months and its by postal mail.
You should apply with all documents ready - and preferably, use one type of document (phone bills, credit card statements, etc.) to prove 1 year of residency in Ontario.aircanada said:Hello all.
On the subject of 1-year masters degrees, If one applies during his/her last semester does this mean things will not work out as smoothly since proof of residency documents (phone bills, credit card statements, etc.) will not cover a whole year by then? In this case, do you apply as soon as you can (i.e. in the last semester of studies) and add/update the proof of residency documents later or do you wait until you are fully ready?
Thanks.
Hi I applied at the beginning of February, provided additional documents at the end of April and was nominated after about two weekssemmir said:Hi friends,
is there anyone who applied in Jan 2014 and was requested for supporting documents, got his nomination recently?
