Hi! Anyone in the same shoes? My prospective employer applied in October 2013. No feedback since then only confirmation that the application was received. So much about the original 90 days target proceedings time!

Call/email the OPNP office to check the status of your application. In my case, had I not called them would never have known I missed an email from them.

Hi,

I am an OPNP masters stream nominee and will be submitting my CIC application. I need help regarding occupation detail on the Generic Application form. What should I fill for 'current occupation' while I am not employed at the moment?

Hi,

My medicals were uploaded to CIC in the end of June, but ECAS still does not show 'medicals received'. I received my GCMS notes last week which show that CIC actually received the medicals immediately. ECAS is just not updated.

I guess that the reason for this is the QA exercise. My GCMS notes showed that in the beginning of July there was a note that my file was identified in QA and should not be processed until a further notification. About ten days later was another note which seemed to imply that CIC got information from PNP about my file. No changes since then...

Based on other peoples' profiles, ECAS updates "medicals received" within a couple of weeks after medicals were sent by the doctor's office. it looks like QA is slowing the process.

Hi all,

I applied for federal part of PNP Ontario under masters- without job offer stream. I received Medical request on first week of may and CIC got medical results on 15th May, since then there is no updates. Is anybody applied in the same time? any updates?

How long it usually takes after CIC receives Medical results?

I submitted my PR application exactly 2 months ago, and still have not received AOR...anyone else in the same boat?

Did you apply under Ontario PNP?
I submitted mine 3 months ago and no AOR yet.

Hi _MK_,

he did apply through Ontario PNP. The only difference between his and our case is that atleast he got AOR and MR.
This looks like all the Ontario PNP PR applications are stuck no matter what stage.

Hi buddies
We are the same boat, I have applied under OPNP more than 3 months ago,
I have sent an email and asked them what is going on? and they answered me it is under initial processing.
So please update your status here to inform everyone about the processing time.

Regards

All of us should direct our inquiries to Ontario Provincial offices and CIC.

OPNP is clearly broken. All it takes to understand this issue is taking a glimpse at how well BCPNP is managed, for instance. The Master's graduate pilot has been running for quiet sometime already, and according to this thread the Provincial authorities have failed to observe the processing speed at all times. Bearing in mind the $1500 fee, it's difficult to argue that their customer commitment leaves much to be desired.

Maybe that is why CIC steps in to execute a QA project.

I concur. My OPNP application process was infuriating. My file was created Mar 2013, they requested for additional documents in Jul 2013 (even though I did submit them in Apr 2013, they apparently lost the documents I submitted). When my application was deemed complete in Aug 2013, they reached their nomination limit for the year and I only got my nomination end Feb 2014. A total of close to a year to receive nomination when their service standards strive for 3 months processing time. What is additionally frustrating is after the lengthy nomination processing time and the exorbitant $1500 fee, CIC is having some form of additional scrutiny for OPNP PR applicants, thus delaying our PR application processing time!

It's absolutely ridiculous... My OPNP process took 11 months of headaches, calling constantly, etc. I was also approved on Aug 2013, but didn't get a certificate until March 2014. I was so relieved that I would start the federal process since I innocently thought it would go much smoother. I should have saved the $1500 and apply under CEC instead.

Had I accumulate 1 year of work experience when I applied for OPNP, I would have went for CEC. CEC applicants only require 11-13 months tops from application received date to PR receive date, mostly 11 months based on people I know who applied under CEC. PNP PR used to be a lot faster before 2013 but I don't think the office can handle the overwhelming number of PNP applications so now there's an increasing delay in processing time...

Dear Friends,
I am applying for PR under PNP category. I received my nomination certificate from Ontario under Master's category without job offer. I have few questions please help me.
1. What I need to write in IMM0008 form in Q4."Immigration office requested for processing this application".
2. For "National Identity" shall I give my driver's license information.
3. Under document check list in no. 18 its written "include 2 self-addressed mailing labels" Is mailing labels means "envelops" showing my residence address.
4. How many funds do I need to show for PR in "Economic Class" form.
5. Do I need to provide any supporting documents that show my source of funds. Is it fine if I show my husband's bank statement and letter of support from him as a source of funds. Or no document is required to show funds.
6. I am working so shall I attach my employment letter.
7. Have you paid "Right of Permanent Residence Fees" with your application or it needs to be paid later.
Thank you
Best Regards
