Hey guys
I am about to finish a Master's degree in Management in September from Lakehead University, Ontario. I already have a master's degree in International Business from England before I moved to Canada. I am originally from India though.
I was studying in Thunder Bay (that's where the university is), then I moved to Mississauga in the last semester (april) because we don't have any classes in the last semester, just thesis to work on.
I was depressed living in that small town Thunder Bay so I thought I must move to Toronto area quickly. I also got my off campus work permit at same time as I moved here.
But, now I am actually more depressed because I can't even get a part-time menial job here whereas my classmates in Thunder Bay have all got part-time jobs in supermarkets/banks/call centres (and their English is much weaker than mine, and some of them used MY resume to apply for jobs). Plus, I don't have any friends/relatives here...and until I get a job, I won't get to meet any new people!
Now, the time has come when I should be looking at full time jobs instead of just part-time since I am about to finish my studies.
I know I am already eligible to apply for Ontario PNP(without a job offer) but seeing the job market here, I am like...what's even the point!!
Should I keep searching for jobs here or move to Saskatchewan if that's any better (even though the PNP over there will be dependent upon the job offer).
Plus, I am sure Saskatchewan will be as depressing as Thunder Bay was for me (in January the temperature went down to -45!!), and it's not even a big diverse multi-cultural city or anything..

I am qualified but jobless and spending family's hard earned money to financially support myself even though I am a 27 years old grown man! This is utter shyte!

Sorry for the long rant but opinions guys, please!!!

I like to ask a question here, although you are eligible to immigrate in Ontario without job offer, but I have heard the quota of grad immegration in Ontario is less then the supply of grads in this province so this consumes years to get nominated in this scheme plus this is a pilot prog which can be shutdown any moment....please put some light?..?

How do you find the job situation in SK? Is it really any better than other big places like Toronto, Vancouver etc.? And, how do you find the place overall?

You cant really compare SK to ON or BC; as only few people live here, I haven't been in latter 2 provinces so no idea about the job situation. You can easily find a pt odd job in SK within month or 2.

Cheers! Yup I am doing that already, all I have got so far is interviews at call centre jobs for TD, RBC etc...definitely not an ideal situation but far better than lifting heavy shit in some factory for less than legal minimum wage I suppose.
I can apply for PNP at this point in Ontario ONLY...so I hope it's a blessing in disguise & not misfortune.

In 2011 I heard terrible things about the survival job market in Vancouver -- but it may be better now. If you are looking for a casual, survival job, I would bet that Saskatchewan is better than Toronto. Professional job, I don't know, especially if potash prices collapse . . .
