For those with experience in the Ontario Masters Stream for PNP, is the possibility of getting a nomination based on how quickly you get in when the stream opens for applications or other factors like age/occupation a big deal in granting nominations?

How quickly do the slots fill up? I hope it takes a few days after the stream opens.

Thanks.

It is how quickly you get your application in. It opens and closes on the same day because it is so popular and not frequently opened for draws.

thanks this is very enlightening. How do you get to know when it opens

You have to watch the site for updates and be ready with everything you need to apply the moment the program opens.

Thanks.
I see in 2019, it opened only on two days, and about the same for 2020. First come, first served is a bit ridiculous. Similar to the grandparents' visa lottery of a few years ago at the beginning of the year.

Thanks.

Unfortunately IRCC favours witty applicants.

Thanks.

This is supposed to be changing this year I believe. Although not yet officially announced to the best of my knowledge.

Ontario has indicated they will be shifting this program to an Expression of Interest system, meaning they will issue invitations to specific applicants - rather than it being first come, first serve. Presumably this will be some sort of points-based system where they will be able ti invite the most qualified candidates based on age, experience, language capabilities. etc.
