Ontario landing in March-questions PR card, Health Card, Apt rental, car insur.

Hi there,

I'll be landing in Toronto (most likely) in March/April. I have a few questions:

1) I will not have any mailing address at the time of landing. Has anybody been successful with renting a UPS mailing address as an address to receive the PR Card / Health Card?

2) Am I right that I can apply for the Ontario Health card right away, but will receive it in 3 months time? Should I get an additional insurance?

3) How do people go about renting an apt without having Canadian references?

4) Do you know any website where I could calculate car insurance? I've heard that insurance is far less if a female is the insurer of the car - is that correct? Are there any other factors that implicate the cost of the insurrance?

Did you find an answer to this question? I'm thinking it might work but I don't know if you have to sign for receipt of the delivery of the PR Cards via the mail.
