Congrats ! Dis you get it from ADVO .... They have my passport for two weeks now No Step is easy ....

It is scary to think that there is a similar process to be a Citizen ...

Alhamdolillah....after a long wait of 8 years, I got my visa stamped passports back from CIC today!

I wish all those waiting all the best and InshaAllah their cases will be completed soon!

There was a major update for immigration reform process and it requires additional things to keep PR active .... Consequently, All forms are updated on 11 June 2015 to include new data and pledges to comply with the new rules ....

We need to be physically present in Canada for 183 day per year to develop attachments This is the info that I have read ...

i received email a day before yesterday and asked following documents once again.

* New Application for Permanent Residence IMM0008 form for the principal applicant

* New Schedule A/Background Declaration form for you and your spouse. This form must be fully complete. Each month must be accounted for and listed.

* New Schedule 4 Provincial Nominee form

* New Additional Family Information form IMM5406 for you and your spouse

* New IMM5562 (Your Travels) form


* Updated original police certificates for you and your spouse from each country that you or your spouse have lived in for 6 months or more since July, 2014


this is 3rd or 4th time i am being asked for these documents!!!

any comments from you people? please

so is this positive sign in my PR case because i think after asking that 6 question email in QA process, no one has been asked these documents again. what should i conclude from this email ?

This is good news for you Zain I believe you are out of trouble specially 2+2 degree issue you just need to wait few more months and everything will be fine than....I must say do what they say.....best of luck....

No. As I am in Canada I sent passports to Ottawa and it took 8 days. I completed the landing today via Niagara.

I got one question , kindly tell me the what is the exact duration of immigrant visa you get. ???? i mean date of issue to expiration.

is your date of issue the same as your COPR ?

Hi Ahmed

The visa was valid for one year. There are two expiry dates mentioned on COPR, one is same as visa the other is till Mar 2020.

Congratulations. I live in UAE and I have sent my passports to ADVO more than 2 weeks ago and no news yet.

No. As I am in Canada I sent passports to Ottawa and it took 8 days. I completed the landing today via Niagara.

My first Medical was expired, I had to redo it and I got a letter from VO that my visa will be valid till April 2016 to do landing, it is one year from the second Medical Examination given that passports do not expire before this so it will given the least (one year or passport expiration).
Therefore I made sure to renew all passports to get the maximum possible period.

my question is in PPR1, we are just asked passport information and others like hight, eyes colors and so on and nothing else..

but they are asking me updated forms and police certificate..... SHOULD I CALL IT PPR1?


or do i need to still wait for getting PPR1?
