And here is the confusing part. Just had my medical last Jan 18 for PR and now another request for medical came in for Open Work Permit. Has anyone experience the same thing?

I Believe you should contact CIC and You must provide a receipt of that Medical Examination Fees or other proof that an examination was completed by a DMP CIC Panel doctor on 18th January. ( Mention that this Exam was for your PR Application , Quote your PR File Number and Unique Client ID ) Hopefully from Unique Client ID they can trace your Medical Records in the System.

You may also check with your Doctor's office if they have already submitted your medical results to CIC or there was any delay and those medical results have not been updated in CIC system. These days medical is e-Medical and doctors are uploading medical results in an online system which should be centrally available to all the CIC Visa offices.

Also please share your experience what does CIC say regarding this if you hear back anything from them regarding this , because even we are going to encounter such situation who have applied for PR & OWP ( both categories ).

Did you recieve Pre Filled Medical Forms

IMM 1017E MEDICAL REPORT CLIENT BIODATA AND SUMMARY Form
Usually an IME No is mentioned on that form
IME ( Immigration Medical Exam ) Number is unique for each applicant . To be precise you can also mention your IME No while communicating with CIC and this number can easily locate your Immigration medical Results.

Usually A medical exam result is valid for 12 months.

If u are under the Back log pilot, after getting UCI (In the AOR Email) u can check online and can see ur old and new application. There by u r sure they have linked it. after a day or two old application goes to Decesion made and gets removed.

I see my both applications, and in the last 2-3 months they are both in "Application Received" status. I've requested a refund for the old one, but received just an autoreply.
Is it a problem?

Hi O_Canada, yes i received that medical report forms. It was also stated in the package that if ever you have undergone medical exams already you have to inform them by fax or email. You must include the ffg info:
1. Full Name/Birth date
2. UCI
3. DMP
4. Cause of delay

I will inform everyone once I have an update.

This is the link for Refund. U can fill this and click the Submit to send an email for Refund. Regarding the 2 applications seen in E-case
it was just my observation. Others members may have other views

When i log into my E-case, Against the applicant name I see my name repeated twice. Application status still says "Application Received"
This has happened on this Tuesday 5-Feb. Not sure the second name is for OWP or not. Any thoughts ?

Today i checked my email and got good news by the grace of ALLAH that i have received AOR on my PR application. they sent me an email 1 week ago but i checked today becoz it was in JUNK box...

1)but right now i am unable to check my e-case status....can anyone please guide me how to check e-case status after AOR

2) there are 2 numbers mentioned in email what are these numbers?

3) now what is next after AOR on PR...

4) i received AOR email after exactly 2 months 15 days.......for those who are still waiting...


looking for your replies for all points i mentioned...

Hi Pradeesh,

The other one should be for the WP. Generally the UCI is the same for both, thats the case with me atleast.
