This AOR is from NS(CIC) or NDVO? I've received AOR from NDVO on Mar 9. Awaiting MR now.

Hi Salooni,

I am in the same situation as you. I received my AOR on 20th Feb from CIO sydney, but after that there is a long silence. I do not know what I will get, means I will get the 2nd AOR or will I get the MR?

I have another confusion, I am from Pakistan, and working in Saudi and for both these locations VO is London, now I filled up in my form VO as Sydney so does this means they will not transfer my file to London or no matter what I have written they will still transfer my file to the VO designated to my present situation ie London?

Hi,

sorry for quite delay reply. I was away.
I have used below values for my 6 yrs old daughter.

Under Intended Study:
Tuition fees: I wrote $1000
Funds Available: $20,654 (the min. requirement as per guideline)
My expense will be paid by: Parents

Under Employment:
From: 2012 12 (as date was compulsory)
Current Activity: "Not Applicable"
Company: "Not Applicable"
City/Town: "Not Applicable"
Country: India

This form is not designed according to age factor. So many fields are compulsory (like date, funds) which is not applicable to kids but we have to specify as per our understanding as there is no clear guideline for many fields.

The very important thing is; they have mentioned that your application found complete & forwarded to local Visa office. So you can simply use the values which I have mentioned above.


For Spouse:
I assume that you are the principal applicant & for spouse you are applying for TRV along with your Workpermit:

Marking tick on "Any additional documents required by the responsible visa office"
- Education certificate
- Birth Certificate
- Two photographs
- Original passport

You must have attached Marriage certificate with the principal applicant's application.
In a single envelop, I put all applications together 1) work permit for myself 2) TRV for spouse 3)TRV for son (1Y 11M) 4)Study Permit for daughter.

For Parents
I have not applied for parents but I can say that in the checklist IMM5484E.pdf it is mentioned.

As far as I know after applying you will get MR in approx 50-60 days.
After sending MR it may take 15 days to couple of months also.

As most of us have applied their WP ,and we are approximately in the same stage , if it is stated in the VO site that the processing time for WP is 2 months for example .. does that mean from the date we applied the WP papers or the date they receive the MR ??

Ideally it should be the date from which VO receive our full application. (ie the date when we have applied).
In my case VO said 1 month and its more than 3 months now after they received my application.

I did, From Delhi VO its very difficult to get a response. We only have email/Fax mode with them. Tried email many times.
But by looking at the forum to me it looks like this Slump is happening every where. What do you say ?
What was the intial time line given by your VO ?

I am in the same case as you are , getting respnce from the VO is so difficuts ,they claimed 6 weeks for WP to get approved ,the 6 weeks did not end yet , but I am concerned as there is no news from People who applied ahead of me ,I have nothing to do but to stay optimestic

Dear all,

I have got my fee re-fund cheque today. But it is only of 700CAD. Where my application included three people (me, my husband and my daughter). In 2005 i paid 61,500PKR and now in 2013 they have re-imbursed 67,000PKR????

Whereas the latest fee submitted with PR application was 1250CAD. What sort of conversion is this???

Can anybody plz explain

Rane! My AOR was issued by Sydney NS CIC. while i submitted my wp in NDVO Islamabad. After that there is silence. if you have received AOR from NDVO, was that for your PR application? if no then it might be for WP and you can ask CIC for AOR of your PR application otherwise i am surprised how NDVO can issue AOR agains PR while we have submitted our PR application to Sydney Nova CIC.


Ahmed ! What i think we will get MR from NDVO. because one of my friend received this from them. for your question about confusion that you are working in Saudi and for both these locations VO is London, i really dont know abt this i will not give any wrong suggestion, it is better you consult CIC, or send email to islamabad-im-enquiary@international.gc.ca and ask about this issue.

Hi!!!

Finally, I got my AOR! It took them 3 months and 2 weeks! My timeline below for everyone's reference.

7 Dec 2012 - CIO received my application
16 Jan 2013 - credit card charged
21 Mar 2013 - AOR
