I have a general question about bridged work permit.

Can you apply for a bridged work permit if you have received AOR from OINP? If not how about if you receive a nomination from OINP?
My understanding is as the BOWP can only be granted by the federal government, the AOR has to be in relation to your application submission after receiving your ITA. The Provincial nomination AORs do not count in this respect.

Does anyone know - when you show your proof of funds does it have to stay the exact amount through out the entire application process. I showed a little bit more than the amount for proof of funds but I may need to use some of this money, it will still have thbe amount needed for my application . I'm not touching at amount just the extra amount .

Thanks

Hello People, kindly advice me on what to do here, I applied for Ontario Provincial Nominee program and according to canada Post, my package was delivered since the 21st Of Dec 2015.
However, I have not yet gotten an AOR from the Ontario Govt indicating that my application has been received.

Should i send them an email? if Yes where should i send it to? Should i wait for some more time ?

Kindly advice.

Have you just mentioned that you have some friends in Ontario or did you need to provide any details about you friends?
If you mention that you have friends in Ontario, you must be able to substantiate that. You can provide a copy of their DL, work permit etc.

happy new year peeps!

I got my notification of interest 2days ago. I am a doctor currently practicing in Nigeria which is a regulated profession. Please, I need a clarification. Do I need to have a practicing license from Ontario medical regulatory body before I can apply or that is a requirement for those already working as a doctor in Ontario?
I am really confused because I have limited time to submit my documents. Somebody please help!!!
You can apply now but before you can practice as a Doctor in Ontario (or any other province), you need to get your license.

Got PT nomination from OINP couple of days back . I have an issue with my NOC . i shifted from a professional job to a trade job from last three months (I have overall 6 years of experience in the professional job) . Both are in in Skill level B. Will the shift from professional to trade job impact my PT for OINP ?
Thanks
No, IMO. This will have no impact on your PN application.

This is totally fine. As long as you maintain funds that are >= the minimum amount, you are good to go.

Boss, it will take at least 2 months to get the AOR email. They will not send acknowledgement as soon as they receive your package. They send an AOR only after they check your package and deem it is complete. If it is incomplete, they will return it back to you. You might get your AOR in late Feb or March.

guys I have a few questions.

1. I'm currently working in Alberta, and just received PT Notification of Interest from Ontario, but my PGWP expires in the beginning of July. Do I still have enough time?

2. My financial situation is basically living paycheck to paycheck, no savings, I will have to ask for some cash from my parents, also can provide their proof of savings, would this still work?

Hi,

Somebody please clarify my below mentioned doubts with regard to reference letters:

1. Are these letters required to be obtained only from HR departments of previous organizations for whom I have worked for previously ?
2. or letters from colleagues of those organization will suffice?
3. HR departments of few companies are reluctant to issue any reference letter except for the relieving letter they issue during separation with those companies. What is the solution in that case?
4. Does lack of reference letters from HR departments will have adverse impact on the application?
6. How to cover the reference part w.r.t. current organization as it will be imprudent to ask my reporting manager to give me a reference letter? What other documents (appointment letters, confirmation letters, salary increment letters etc..) will be considered as substitutes for reference letters..

Ideally, yes. But this is not practical for everybody.

2. or letters from colleagues of those organization will suffice?

Should work. Be sure to get their ID card/Business card copy along with the letter.

3. HR departments of few companies are reluctant to issue any reference letter except for the relieving letter they issue during separation with those companies. What is the solution in that case?

Precisely. My company is like this. In this case, if there is nothing you can do, you can ask your manager or a senior to provide a letter in the required format. You can ask him/her to mention his/her contact details in the letter. Here too, be sure to attach a copy of the business card/ ID card of the person giving the reference. Also, be sure to show proof that you genuinely tried to get the letter in the required format from the HR but they denied it (You can submit email exchanges).

4. Does lack of reference letters from HR departments will have adverse impact on the application?

Since not everyone will be able to get such a letter, IMO, no, this will not have an impact on the application but its a drawback for sure and the onus of providing additional documents to support your case lies on you.

6. How to cover the reference part w.r.t. current organization as it will be imprudent to ask my reporting manager to give me a reference letter? What other documents (appointment letters, confirmation letters, salary increment letters etc..) will be considered as substitutes for reference letters.

There is no "substitute" for a reference letter, per say. You need a letter. The thing is, you can get it from a trusted colleague if required (if you cannot get it from the HR department). All the documents you have mentioned are supporting documents and not substitutes as such.
