Yes, a few people in Ontario with CRS over 400 are waiting for a long time...
"Please note that the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration has placed a temporary pause on the intake of applications for the Human Capital Priorities Stream. However, all applications received before the pause will be processed to completion."

For details check:

Good luck for the next draw!

Brother, I have 467 points and have been waiting since March. Join the queue...

Jokes apart, we are all eagerly waiting for OINP to commence again. Given the latest trends, most of us have a feeling that OINP will increase there cut off from 400 to 430-440, as the no. of people over 400 is huge.

Thank you for your reply, I have 2 more questions
1. So bcas my work permit expired, now i am back in india, will i still qualify for OINP ?
2. I am currently looking for a position of Process Specialist in insurance and Process Flow Analyst jobs, what will the best noc be for them and would they qualify for skill level 0, A or B jobs?

Thank you again for your time

You can find a NOC that best suits you here -->

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your roles 'n' responsibilities, education and they will get back to you with the most appropriate NOC.

Thank you again for your time

Hi guys, I have a question in regards to the collection agent role noc 1435.
I was collection agent for a bank in Canada and was working directly with bank and also offered settlement to clients. I have spent 2 years doing that.
Is there any way I can use that in my express entry profile to benefit me.

Is there any other Noc that can be used which will be similar to my role and responsibilities.

I any one has a positive answer please do reply back. I have been trying to find an answer for this question for a very long time.

Please do help guys.

Thank you

Unfortunately, 1435 is NOC C hence useless in a PR application. There are other NOCs but none of those appear to relate to your experience. The closest approximation would be 1212 (NOC B) but that is a supervisory position.

Thank you for your reply....
- Also I am a bit confused about Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream. Is it the same as OINP that once we have 400 pt we will receive PT notification from Ontario and then we can send them our documents and if selected we will be awarded 600 pts to add to express entry profile.

---
My situation is as follows:
-3 years bachelors degree from toronto Canada
-2 year work exp. in toronto canada- 1435 - Collectors
-1 year work exp in toronto canada as- 6231 - Insurance agents and brokers
-Valid celpip score: List 11, Read 9, Writ 8, Spe 10

-My Canadian post graduate work permit expired in march 2016 and i came back to India.
Unfortunate my one year of skilled work exp finished in march 2016 and i never was able to receive PT notification as Ontario stopped sending it.

Is there any stream i may qualify right away under, my current score is 448 (after adding the addition 30 pt for Canadian education.).
is Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream anything different?

Please let me know, after studying in Canada, I am not able to find a good skilled job in india. I am stuck and i am in lot of trouble.

--if any one else has any thing to suggest, kindly do replyback

Thank You so much for all your help

Yes. And it has been closed for more than a year now, no signs of reopening yet. OINP may change all, some or none of the program elements if and when they reopen.

Have you considered writing IELTS to get a CLB 9 score? If your Writing score is indeed 8, that is pulling your score down.

What is the breakup of 448?

-I have not yet considered rewriting for IELTS- will getting higher score make a huge difference?

- Break down of 448 pts is as follows-
CRS - Human Capital - Age 110
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education 120
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency 122
CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience 40
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 26
CRS - Canadian education 30
Total = 448

Yes.

As you have 0 FWE and 1 year of CWE, your max Skills Transferability score would be 38 (12 more than your current score) provided you get CLB 9 on all 4 sections of the language test. Add to that at least 8 points if you can get CLB 9 in Writing while maintaining other scores at current level and your score goes up to 468! If you improve scores across all sections to CLB 10, you get 14 additional points (instead of the aforementioned 8 points) on language proficiency thereby taking your CRS to 474!

Strongly recommend that you take IELTS and score at least 8 in L and at least 7 in R/W/S to get to 468. If you can score more than those in each of those sections, you'll land anywhere between 468 and 474.

Do remember though that IELTS has a different format than CELPIP so it will take you some preparation to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern. But looking at your CELPIP scores, I imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to get a high score in IELTS as well.

All the best!

Highly recommend that you retake IELTS

Follow the forum and OINP site for updates. Nothing announced yet. If you get your IELTS in place, you wouldn't need to spend either the time or the money on OINP. Focus!
