Hi all,

I passed my written test yesterday at Downsveiw drive test center in North York,Toronto,I had more than 10 years of driving experience from GCC country ,I gave them the authentication letter and the lady told me I can go for the G exam then she filled my application and after passing the written test they gave me a temporarily driving license, but for my surprise I found out that it is Class G1...!!....shouldnt be it like G2 since I am going to give a G road test..!!!

2-I heard that some drive test centers are strict that others,so which one is have a good reputation or success ratio ,I wonder if any knows specifically about Downview since its close to me,I even heard that the more you go out of town the easier the examiners there is that true.

3- I am looking for a very good instructors ,I am new to Toronto but not new to driving a car,so I need an instructor that gives tips and hints that other than the normal instructors for beginners.

Regards.

hi
first learn the basic license terms

G1 (learners permit u get it when u pass vision n written rest you can only drive car if you have any one with G license 4 yrs older in your passenger seat)
G2 ( driving license but not advance like you can not drive on highway and night time till first six month)
G ( full driving license )

any one pass with G1 they have to go G2 road test if you provide driving letter from other country G CC in your case than you can directly go for G road test if you fail in it for first time you have to go for G2 road test pass it keep it with you one year drive it with G2 condition and than reappear with G road test

all the test center are same in Ontario all examiner has to follows same procedure for all applicant its rummers in Ontario that this one good test center or that one is bad
if any examiner fails you he/she need to explain it you what was your mistake in writing, still if you are not satisfy and think that you cud have been pass go in to drive center with written result and complain, the senior officer with than determinate about your result

any thing els let me know

Check out Davinder Khangura (C: 416.722.6614 P: 905.821.7072). I highly recommend her she is a vetran of 20+ years and knows all the ins and outs of the driving licence game in Toronto. Thanks to her I got my G-Licence in a couple of weeks of arriving without issues.

Ins and outs of the driving license game? Does she know someone internally who can pass the candidates without exam? or have the exam "orchestrated" for a nominal fee?

Nothing like that, but bumping up your test date, knowing from experience what route the test takes and what mistakes to watch out for etc.
In the end passing the test is up to your driving skills.

oh okay, just the obvious stuff that all driving instructors know. Thanks for confirming
