Hi, I don't know where to post this topic, so I am doing it here.

I am a temporary worker in Ontario, and I would like to apply for a driving license soon. I have 5+ driving experience in my country of origin, and I am now trying to figure out the documentation I will need.

I found this on the Ontario website:

"You need to:

take an eye test
bring original identification showing your legal name, date of birth and signature
bring your original, valid out-of-province/foreign driver's licence*
bring any original supporting documents that show proof of your driving experience
pay the applicable fees
fill out an application form (where you will state how long you have been driving)"

What worries me is this " bring original identification showing your legal name, date of birth and signature" - I have an e-passport (a biometrical passport), that has all that included, is that acceptable proof of all three of these?

It is also not clear to me what I do once I get all my documents together. Do I go to a driving centre and walk-in for the eye test and knowledge test, or do I make an appointment? how and where?

Accepted identification documents are listed here:

Vision/knowledge tests do not require appointments at Drive Test centres. It's 1st come, 1st served.

Good luck :)
