Yeah, what a surprise! So how much do you pay?europe said:in general the insurance is expensive in Ontario.
LOL. So do you drive one of these Chinese cars?steaky said:No, you are wrong. In Metro Vancouver, there's reason to drive nice car (I mean really nice car: Lamborghinis, high-end Mercedes and Aston Martins):

Who said the Canadian government doesn't spend a dime on infrastructure? Look at Canada Line, Evergreen Line and Port Mann Bridge in Metro Vancouver. Maybe it's only your municipality government and the government of Ontario who doesn't spend money on infrastructure.
No, I don't drive any Chinese cars. Perhaps you are. LOLkingkong1 said:LOL. So do you drive one of these Chinese cars?
Insurance will still be higher cause its a Chinese carkingkong1 said:LOL. So do you drive one of these Chinese cars?
That's the electric car you were talking about!steaky said:No, I don't drive any Chinese cars. Perhaps you are. LOL
Was that you beside the car? Who were the people behind you?
I said Nissan Leaf. Nissan Leaf is an electric car and likely made in Japan or USA.kingkong1 said:That's the electric car you were talking about!
1. Hi Gosia, what class of license do you hold?gosia said:Try Scotia bank, they are really good, i just bought a new vehicle, and full coverage - $189/month, was paying $156 before on an old vehicle though
I live in markham, insurance here is crazy. My friend lives in Gatinue, just outside ottawa, she pays $60 for full coverage. But i was happy with the 189 because other companies were offering 290 to like 350 per month.
Yes, at least for me they did. I presented my previous claim history which my Ontario insurance company verified and I got the discounts.messenger said:Has anyone here managed to get a discount on the premiums in Ontario by proving past insurance claim free from other countries?
I know in Alberta you must prove to them your Bonus Malus and they will give you a discount of up to 40% on their premiums.
I am sure Ontario has something similar but not as good as Alberta.
If anyone here did it could you pls reply?
Thanking you in advance

Yes they offered me $189 for the last 2 months before my renewal- i was surprised too since i got a new car + i have a G2. But for my renewal which is up on Sep 01 my premiums went up, also because i now have a new 2013 nissan versa if i renew with them, it will be $323/month - im going to fight with them before the renewals to get it to at least $250/monthPRCR said:1. 2. Were you with Scotiabank on your previous coverage of $156 before you acquired the new vehicle?
The reason I ask is that I have a full class G license and yet the quotes I get are relatively quite high ($416 - Scotiabank).
You didn't even know how much your insurance premium will go up if you buy a new car? Seriously. In a few yrs, your Nissan won't be worth the money you pay for insurance. You are very naive if you think you can lower the premium by arguing with your agent.
