Take photos conforming to new specs, also print photos with date stamped by photographer on the back, not hand written. Try multiple times since some offiers may not consider your request.

My experience, PR card processed when landed but new photo was not accepted; tried to submit new photos next day but was refused; tried again in the following day and photo got accepted but was informed by the officer that date should be stamped by photographer instead of hand written. Hope it still works.

I saw there is a photo shop right across Harry Hays building, maybe they know everything.

I completed landing formalities in calgary airport. Officer didn't ask for PR card applicaiton or new photos. I want to submit new photos in Harry Hays Building.
Any suggestion to take pictures in calgary for PR card?

Yes, there is a photographer across the harry hays bldg. and she knows the specification and she will stamped it at the back of the pictures...it will cost you $16.00 for 2 pictures

At the time of Landing I haven't filled any PR Application such like IMM 5444E. Do I need to fill one. I haven't seen any body doing that while doing landing to get their PRs basing on landing experience? Please advice .

Virgo,

You only need to provide Alberta address if your PR card is processed by officer at time of landing. Submitting replacement photos subsequently needs to fill a supplementary form which will be provided.

I guess you have to fill some kind of form different than the supplementary form since address information is not shown there. It doesn't hurt if you pre-fill the PR card application form. If other forms need to be filled as directed by officer, you can fill it up by hand over there.

The bottom line is you have to convince officer to consider your request. Like I said earlier, try multiple times since different offier handle this kind of issue differently.

I went to Harry Hays building to submit my photos on Friday. Officer said it is been stopped and file is not in here at calgary yet? She said that I can mail to them with client number if the old photos are not accepted. I try convencing her but no use. I haven't seen any forms there may be we should ask officer for that . I will try one more time on Tuesday .

Hi all,
I am not active member on this forum but I need help. We had done are medical on 5th august 2010 and my wife had to do x-ray again so that was done on 5th nov 2010. My file was transfereed to NY on 5th jan 2011. Now yesterday I received a letter from new york office saying that my wife needs to do whole medical again as its almost a year. I do not know the reason (they had taken my file in hand on august 2nd 2011 the date on letter).Now my wife cannot do medical as she is pregnant. They have specified if she does not do medical in 60 days our file will automatically get cancelled. Now what should I do talk to the DMP who did our medical or write email to NY office regarding the pregnancy? Please reply....

Did anybody use AVR in Edmonton airport?Does Edmonton airport is also like Calgary where Us immigration officer will check your docs at the airport and then you land in US and you don't have to go to immigration again?Please provide info ASAP as I am landing next week.

No, you should be fine. I came back just with a valid I-797 i.e I-94 (of course, my visa is also valid but in the past I have returned just on a valid I-94).

I went for in person stamping last Tuesday .... as reported many times on this forum is was easy and smooth, got to the consulate at 7:10, was one of the few to submit it first thing... and i was out with the stamped passports and COPR by 9:45am...

Thanks Jacaranda. Did you already mailed your passport or are you planning to go in person for stamping?

I mailed my passport to nyc consulate along with required documents and returned prepaid envelope, hopefully consulate won't take much longer this time and I'll get my passport soon

As far as I know in Canada you do the US immigration in the Canadian airport (Calgary, Edmonton, etc) and not in US.
