I got a letter from CIC Buffalo , they are asking the required documents
1. detailed reference letter from all of your current and former employers in the USA. starting job duties and salary.
2. w2 forms and proof of US income tax filing for all years of residence in the usa
3. 12 months of bank statements transaction history from all the accounts held in any country
4. proof of current immigration status in USA.

please share your and experience.

I took pictures with my camera, used epassportphoto.com to create a canadian visa photo template, went to costo and printed it i think on 4X6 for 12cents or something, cut out the six photos; wrote the date on the back with a ball point pen and submitted it in person at the consulate.

well if you took your earlier photos within six months you can use them and mention the date when they were taken...its your call if they are older than that

For those who had their stamping done...need your help


i have below instructions for Photo Section in the email that i got


1 -------------> AGE OF PHOTO - 1. Within 6 months; 2. Bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable)

2 -------------->PHOTO PAPER - 1. Produced from the same unretouched film or from the same file capturing the digital image or from two identical photos exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera; 2. On photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date without smearing. Photos without this backing are not acceptable; 3. On prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent fading and discolouration


So for "Bear the date the photo was taken directly on the back of one print" what is the best way to do this... inquired in walgreens/CVS/Sears/Walmart/Costco no body prints date on the back of photo... Can i simply write the date with ball point pen??

Can i use same photos as we initial send them at the time of CIC application to Buffalo? Couple of my frds used same photos for Buffalo & New York Embassy's they were fine... DID someone do the same thing for Detroit embassy...

I got the PPR from Buffalo.....getting stamped next week sometime....In person.
