Friends,

My E-CAS status is saying ..
Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

What does it mean ?How long it will take to get my passport back ?it's already more than one month. My file is in LA office.

Thanks

Vbomb, as you observe the timelines of our friends, it seems Buffalo is moving some files by taking different routes like transferring files to different offices and taking care of some on their own. Every one of us know this. No body on earth can tell me that March 2nd 2011, I am going to get the ppt request. I dont even expect that. We should energize ourselves by some examples whose wait is enormous compared to us. Also we ( me, you, Joseph, Lettuce ) are all on the same boat and should receive PPT request communication almost same time. I am also aware of couple of frends with the same timeline files have been moved to LA and its been 3 weeks already, they are expecting ppr request in a week. Hope we get the same atleast in a month span as Buffalo is slower.

Thanks Calgary2010, I know I have to wait it's just I don't know if they have my medicals or not and I tried to ask them to make sure to no avail. I just want to get this over with and move on since this is a employer sponsored program I have to be here. All the best of luck. Let's keep in touch, all May CIC applicants! We should be NEXT!

DKS, Tracking # is not showing anything yet. I'll give couple of days more. Below is my ecas status
"We started processing your application on July 3, 2010.
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on January 5, 2011. The Detroit office may contact you.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. "

I got PRP email on Jan 21, 2011. The email is basically the same for all applicant and I found that vsrao(detroit) had already pasted the emal so insteading of pasting the 4 page email check the link from vsrao. Every single word from this link is same as mine.

Hi JAG123, Congratulations.

I believe Consulate sent out your passport with visa. You may get very soon. If you've used courier services, you may track. Pls keep us update.

I've received my PPR on 1st Feb and they received passport on 3rd Feb. Let's hope till 21st of Feb to receive them back.

Congratulations again.

Dear friends,

If I get the PPR today, how many days do I have to get the visa stamped on the passport?

Once I get the visa stamped on the passport, how much time do I have to get into Canada? Do I need to go within the next 6 months or 12 months etc from the date of the visa stamp?

My medicals were done in Dec. 2010.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you all.

After you get the PPR request you will be given 60 days usually to get your passport stamped.Due to delays at the consulates they are only giving 30 days nowadays. The Visa stamp will unfortunately be valid only one year from the date when your medicals were completed ( Eg: If your medicals were done in Dec 2010 and your passport gets stamped in May 2011, you will have till Dec 2011 to do your landing ) .

Hope this helps your planning. You might see your PPR in June/July 2011 based on the waittimes current May CIC aplicants ( Medicals in Aug/Sep2010) are undergoing.

This is just a gentle suggestion to folks who have mailed their passports (after PPR) and are getting impatient about receiving the same back with stamped visas; I understand that this process is more than frustrating for all of us...but the fact that they requested your passports means that your visas are guaranteed....they don't request passports to issue denials, so please, don't send emails enquiring about the same because this just slows everything else....Whatever your eCAS status says at this time, your visas are GUARANTEED and you will get them sooner rather than later. So please just be patient... Just my opinion.
Godspeed to the rest of us.

Godspeed Bro

I hope the same for the entire May CIC applicant batch and those whose files are stuck in Buffalo ( Chigirl ,Mods777 & others) .You guys really deserve to get it soon since you did your medicals in June .

On a realistic note just looking at the pace of approvals am slightly disappointed.Expected very realistically that Feb first week should be the time May applicants get some transfer requests to consulates atleast!!!! Now have to recalibrate my expectations that transfer request might happen in March ...and PPR 60 days from that which is May 2011.

Anywaz we will see......Hope it is soon. By the way good luck to all those who have gotten the PPR ,hope you get your stamped passports soon. Hopefully this means a lot to you and your families and gives you some final stability on settling in canada. Hope to see you guys on the other side of the border.

No news Joe. I have not been very active on the forum as i have been quite occupied at work. Hope fully we get some good news for you and i and for Lightsinthemist and Chigirl. Lets all of us stuck in Buffalo get the PPR soon.

Thank you Lightsinthemist. So in all eventuality, I will have to go to Canada before Dec. 2011 for landing purposes. Correct?

Hi Surenderjeet,

Well, On a positive note I think your PPR is on the way.
May be NYC has posted you PPR request (by postal mail) and they do not want you to update the system with your new address.
Moreover today is TUESDAY.... The day when most of the e-cas status change takes place.

Thats my 2 cents, friend. GOOD LUCK!!!

King80 - Any update on your e-cas? Do you see change of address column when you login?

Friends - Can you please shed some light on this kind of change on the e-cas.
